I thought long and hard about buying these chairs because they were pricier than some of the others, and had a steep shipping fee. It seemed the more I looked for egg chairs, the more I kept coming back to these. The quality is much better, the cushions are thicker, and over all, they seem sturdier. I ended up purchasing two, and love them. They look great on the patio and are super comfortable to sit in. They arrived quicker than anticipated. Assembly was super easy. I am unsure as to assembly difficulty since a handyman set it up for me but I can say that I sit in this chair to relax on my patio and it is sturdy and comfortable! Just enough cushion. I love it.

We got this because it was the "hanging egg" with the highest weight rating we could find that wasn't insanely expensive and we did not trust the ones with 200 lb or lower ratings. It seems fine with a ~250lb person, so I think rating is probably accurate. If you are the kind of person who likes egg seating, you will probably like this. If you like good posture seating, maybe not so much. We put rubber strips in the hanging chain so it would squeak less as you swing/spin, which has worked relatively well. You can only swing a moderate amount because it's not super far from its support arm, but that seems fine. You do get rotation, side to side movement, and forward and back movement as possibilities, just forward/back is a little reduced in the back direction due to the arm as expected. Kids love this thing and are very intrigued by it. I imagine it's very easy for them to pretend they are flying a TIE fighter or something similar. You can adjust the height by several inches if that's important. Including cushioning seems fine, but it also seems very easy to change and use your own if desired. Footprint is larger than an average recliner, but not by a lot. The thing I find slightly awkward is that the head pillow needs to be moved for people of different heights, and can require some fitting. So not everyone can just use "as is." ... show more
