Excellent LiFePo battery and camping light

This power station does exactly what I required: small(ish), portable, and has an excellent display just like its bigger power station counterparts which I have. The display shows rate of charge, how much battery is available, how much is being used in a very clear display. There are two USB-A output ports, and two USB-C ports. The USB-C ports also allow for charging the unit from mains power at home, so long as you have an appropriate charger port handy; you cannot plug it directly into 120V power to charge up. It charges quickly; I found when it is depleted by 25%, the battery can be recharged within 2 hours. The screen gives a good estimate of how long it will take to recharge, so you are not left guessing. It uses LiFePo batteries which means they will take full charge/discharges over a great many years. The camping light that was shipped separately and came about a week later is excellent. The design is well thought through and it feels like a solid, compact, durable unit. Not only are there strong metal loops to hang it from somewhere, but it can also be stored using two magnets on the back: we keep ours to hand for emergencies with it attached to the fridge door. The charge state is clearly indicated by blue leds, the white light output can be switched to bright white, natural white, warm white, flashing SOS, and flashlight mode. It gives a good strong beam of light on the latter, and the illumination provided will be suitable for most emergencies or camping trips. Personally, I cannot fault its design.

I absolutely adore my Ecoflow Trail 300 DC power station! It’s incredibly compact, lightweight, and charges my devices incredibly quickly. It’s completely silent and easy to move around. Ecoflow truly outdid themselves with this device! GET THE BAG!!! You will love it! I own several other EcoFlow power stations, including the River 2 and River 2 Pro. The Trail 300 has more battery capacity than the River 2, and it’s much easier to move around and take to work. The Lifepo4 battery is extremely reliable. This bundle on Amazon is a fantastic value for the money. It includes an awesome branded bag to hold the power station, a charger, and cables. I also picked up one of Ecoflow’s 140-watt USB chargers and an EcoFlow-branded 240-watt nylon USB-C cable. I highly recommend this product if you don’t need AC power. I use it daily for work on my MacBook Pro, charging my phone and iPad. The two 140-watt USB-C ports supply enough power for all my devices. It also works great with my portable XGIMI Mogo 4 projector! I would recommend purchasing a good quality 240 watt usb c cable - EcoFlow, Ugreen, and Anker all have great options. Some lower watt cables may not fit as secure in the 140 watt ports.

Nice Station for Keeping Multiple Devices Charged/Running with a Bonus Light
Set name: TRAIL Plus 300
I have the original Ecoflow Trail 300 DC model, which I have been well pleased with, so decided to order the Plus model which adds the light on top as well as extra USB ports. The first thing to be aware of is that these units usually ship directly from EF in California. These are only shipped via ground, so if you live on the East Coast as I do, delivery will take a while - usually around a week. This is neither good nor bad, but the realities of shipping requirements for this size of battery. The Trail Plus 300 arrived with 22% charge. It is normal for it to be 20-30%, I assume again because of shipping requirements. For its 1st charging, I used USB-C, with a 240w rated cable. I charged from another EF station, and it pulled the max 140w. USB-A charging is much lower, because, well honestly that is older tech with less capabilities. Once it was charged, I bound it to the app, and adjusted the settings the way I like them. There are multiple settings such as changing the name of the unit in the app, charge/discharge limits, screen timeout, screen brightness, and checking of battery health. Since this unit connects to the app, you can also receive firmware updates. The apps main screen gives you useful information such as the current charge level (in percent), anticipated amount of time left according to how it is being used at the moment, which ports are being used and the wattage output, any input wattage, etc. It has 3 USB-C ports (140w) and 2 USB-A ports (12w) so you can charge multiple devices at the same time. Or, charge devices while also charging the Trail Plus 300 from another source. These various ports enhance the functionality of the unit when powering and charging multiple devices at once. I like to use solar to charge the Trail Plus 300 since I have solar panels that match up well with it and I regularly get 110w input. It can also be charged via the car charger port, or as mentioned previously, thru any of the USB-C ports. Be aware that this unit does not have a way to charge directly from a house outlet unless you use a USB converter. The light on top is instantly available with a tap on the button. There are 3 settings: bright white, dimmer (yellow), dimmer (white), and SOS (bright white continuous blinking). The light is bright enough to see your way if making a midnight trek to the outhouse (or wherever you are going), but not so bright as to blind everyone in the vicinity. I also appreciate the "hood" on top, so when being carried by the handle, I'm not looking directly at the light. When not in use, I keep this unit on top of my entertainment cabinet for instant access to the light during power outages (it came in handy that way very recently). Speaking of handles, the handle is a combination handle and charging cord that can be removed when needed. The attachment system is made of metal and is robust, yet the cable can easily be removed for. All in all, the Trail Plus 300 has plenty of power to keep your devices charged as well as illuminate the light for many hours. It is lightweight and convenient for a grab and go, or even just for changing rooms it is used in. The light is handy in power outage situations as well as for camping, or even situations that you don't want to use an overhead, bright light.

Steer clear... (especially if your life depends on it)

Eco 300 Trail went down in the middle of the night which also took down my starlink while at almost 9000ft elevation in a major storm. It started ticking down from 30% to zero. 1% ever second or half send. More storms coming. No resupply til another day from now. And no connection for emergency as it's flawed. I can power it up, and it just ticks back down. When I spoke to customer service I knew more than he did. He made no offer for resolution. I already tried recalibration by charging it to 100% and continuing to charge at 100%. Nothing. This is my communication to the outside world and also how I work as I work remotely. If something happened last night or happens tonight before resupply I cannot do anything to reach anyone. I did a ton of research before I purchased. Also my Garmin inreach can't be charged. Super disappointed. And customer service made no attempt to resolve this in other ways. If I treated my clients like that I'd have no clients.

Great for vacation and camping due to its lightweight small size

I wanted a small portable battery to bring on vacation to charge our small electronics, tablets and phones. The last 2 hotels we went to have outlets that were either not working or the outlet sockets were damaged. Also, I was interested in this battery over other batteries because it's solar compatible, which would be handy for camping trips where I can't recharge it through the wall outlet.🔋 This EcoFlow battery I ordered came precharged to 28%, which I could use right out of the box. The battery was well packaged with thick cardboard fitting for protection during delivery. This battery does not come with a charger cable. I have a Chromebook 45w charger cable that I used to charge it. According to the battery screen, it will take approximately 4 hours to fully charge from 30% to 100%. I am sure the charging time would be shorter with a faster cable charger. 🔋 The battery is very compact and lightweight. It weight only 5.6 pounds and measure at 3.8" x 6.2" x 6.4". 🔋 It has 2 USB-C, 2 USB-A, and an car port outputs. We are a family of 4 so it's great that we can all charge our phones at the same time. The car port output was able to power my small car refrigerator when needed. I was able to charge my 3 electronics while charging the battery (which I wouldn't recommend doing it but I did it just for testing purposes). The battery doesnt make any noise whether it's in the charging mode or when I use it to charge my electronics. The Jackery Explorer 1000 Pro and Litake 300 batteries I currently have produced loud fan noises whenever I charge them. It is nice to have a battery that is silent when in use. Overall, I am very happy with the battery due to its lightweight small size, noise free, good performance, and easy to read display.

SOOOO much better than carrying a bunch of smaller battery packs and an inverter

Now that everything uses USB to charge, including laptops, I really wanted to be able to carry one battery pack and some cables for all my day trip needs. Because I'm on call for my job in IT and my wife is an IT consultant, we need something that can charge anything our family of five can't be without and also be able to charge our laptops if we have a work/client emergency while at the beach, an event (fair, birthday party, etc) or anywhere else. This USB-only output device covers all our needs. Two USB-C PD outputs (one each of 140W and 100W) plus two USB-A 12W outputs (200W total output max) means we can charge a laptop and pretty much any three other devices we carry, or even two laptops like ours which require 60W and 90W charging rate, respectively. It worked awesome on every device we tested it with (MacBook Pro, multiple Lenovo and Dell laptops, iPhones, iPad, Samsung and Fire tablets, etc). What's especially important is the build quality I have learned to love from Ecoflow. Additionally, when we know we won't need to charge a laptop, for example on a camping trip, this should be able to handle all our USB charging needs for the whole family for an overnight trip and even two nights if we are careful. When we need to recharge, we can use any USB-C PD chargers up to 140W (one port) or up to 100W (two ports) for up to 200W input (charging) rate. This means we can even get a fast charge in the morning while we have breakfast before we head out if we need to, and for most charging needs we will just use our Dell/Lenovo/Apple chargers we have around all the time. The device is tiny compared to my other "portable generator" type power banks, and runs completely silently so far, which are big advantages when using it in a tent. I am also far less worried about any overheating with the larger units, so I feel comfortable with it being discretely in our beach bag or backpack charging a laptop or our other valuable devices. I am already sure this is going to be my new "go to" charger for any shorter trip where I don't need AC output and am bringing at least a bag/backpack. As always, I'll make sure to update this review if I have any new information to share as I use it for longer. Here's the scale I'm using for my ratings: ⭐️ 1 star= Nope! I do not recommend. It’s poorly made, or not what it’s listed to be. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars = Has some redeeming qualities, would not buy again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars = Meh. It's passable. Great lil power station.

I’m m pleasantly surprised by this little EcoFlow. I especially love the shape—it fits neatly next to my bed in my camper van, and the flat top is far superior to the shape of the Jackery 300. IYKYK. I mainly use it to charge my phone and run my bedside light and speakers. It’s a great little addition to the big boys in my power-station arsenal, which are much larger and heavier. This one is light enough to bring to the park or anywhere else I might want to charge my MacBook. It does not come with a charger. I already owned a 140-watt USB-C power adapter from my HP laptop, so I used that to charge it. It took about two hours to reach a full charge. So far, I’m very happy with it!

Almost Perfect

Positive: Solid build quality. Really nice size. Good power for the size. Perfect for low wattage products with the two mode option. Great for laptops, phones and other products powered or charged by USB. Negatives: No USB C or A cable included to charge (Major Negative). Ecoflow brags about how quickly it charges using the dual USB inputs. Yet they provide no way to do so. This was a completely on a whim purchase at $89 and at that price its a decent bargain at regular price not so much.
