So I've been researching solar generators for a couple years now, reading/watching about anything I can find & Ecoflow has been the front runner on almost every review I've seen. My main interest in these was for back up power in case of the "dreaded grid failure" here at home, plus I have a little camp out in the woods of Alabama, 600 miles away that I spend about 4 weeks a year at & when the power goes out there, it's DARK! I mainly just need to power my coffee maker, mini fridge, ice maker, microwave, a lamp & charge my tool batteries. I decided on purchasing the River 2 Max & I LOVE it! It's small, weighs under 15 pounds, has 4 AC outputs & 4 DC. When it arrived it was charged to 30%, I had it up to 100% in a little over 30 minutes. It also has the inverter built in, so no power brick to pack up & can also be charged by your vehicle or solar panel. For glamping, using around the backyard when you don't want to run an extension cord or have AC power in your vehicle, this thing is perfect. I do not have any regrets buying this unit, I would recommend it to anyone & it's very inexpensive for what you get, compared to what I've researched. It also ships quickly & Ecoflow's communication is outstanding before & after the sale. UPDATE: Of my three solar generators, this is still my go-to & favorite. It's been a great during power outages at home, keeping my internet, Wi-Fi & some lights on. I've taken it camping & I use it at my cabin when I don't want to run extension cords. My latest use, I've been providing music & public address system for my class reunions for 25 years. This past weekend was our 50th, yes I'm old. One of the biggest hassles is dealing with my 4 outlet, heavy duty extension cord. Besides hauling it, trying to avoid a trip hazard & trying to hide the big ugly thing, it's heavy & a pain to roll back up. This time I used my River 2 Max & it was a piece of cake. I had everything confined to one small area, powered my sound system & laptop for over 6 hours, with no unsightly cables. It also made set-up & packing out much easier & faster. It still had over 70% power left when I shut it down & bonus, it's about 5 lbs lighter than my extension cord. I also found the app very handy to keep an eye on the power usage. I have no doubts this unit will outlast me. Thank you Eco-Flow for your fine products, had I started with Eco-Flow, it would be the only brand I own.

I use this primarily with my car fridge to act as an uninterrupted power supply. It stays plugged into a 12v outlet in the car so it recharges when the car is on, then keeps the fridge running while the car is off. The LCD display is great and gives a lot of useful real-time information on usage in and out. I haven’t tested the output limit, but it’s been great for my use case.

The media could not be loaded. I intentionally waited to write this review so I could test it in real life scenarios that I personally would want this solar generator for. It is a beast for it's size and for how quickly it can charge. In my video you can see that my street fighter 2: hyper fighting arcade cabinet will run for over 4 hours on 28% battery. I later on charged it to full and it gave me over 17 hours of run time. I even played games for 3 hours to make sure there was no shorts, cut offs etc, and it ran flawlessly. Next a ran a large tunnel fan. It ran it for about 2 hours without issues. I then moved on to my actual PC and monitor. I get a little over 2 hours of use with this generator at full which doesn't sound like alot but bare in mind that I got this for $200. My next big test was my Playstation 4 and projector. It handled it better than I thought at almost 3 hours!! Simply amazing. It takes about 57mins to charge it from the plug. I tested multiple solar panels for charging as well. I tried a 100w portable panel and an actual 100w panel. It does take about 5hours to charge solar with both and about 7 to 9 hours with 1. However, I was also charging a power bank with it while solar charging thanks to the pass thru! This is an absolute must have! If our grid ever goes down I will be watching movies, refrigerating food, playing arcade games, trying to live life and enjoy some of the luxuries as well! My kids will thank me for being a pepper! This will run all your lights and everything else in a camp site as well with total ease. Trust me, I wasn't paid in any way or receive anything for this receive anything in exchange. I wanted to write this so if someone is on the fence about it , they could rest assured these things are real and can save your life. The absolute ONLY drawback is that I couldn't afford a larger one. Even the 256wh version is a must have. The bigger you buy, the more stuff you can run longer. So if you can afford it, grab a nice big one!!! Thanks for reading. 10 out of 10!!!! Also. The display is nice and bright. Can see it in the summer sun.

EF ECOFLOW Portable Power Station RIVER 2 Max 500 for Home Use, 499Wh LiFePO4 Battery/ 1 Hour Fast Charging Lightweight but powerful! Used this while dry camping in my rv in the Florida Keys this winter for 2.5 months. It worked really well for me. Charge lasts a long time! It charges in less than an hour. The only downside was I had to charge it while running my motorhome 7k generator and it drew a LOT of amps so I couldn't run anything else at the same time. Luckily, I have a friend on full hook ups so she charged it for me the times I had to recharge it. Daily I ran 2 fans, charged 2 phones and 1 tablet, made a few cups of coffee, ran a wifi speaker while streaming music from Sirius Xm, recharged a vacuum cleaner, recharged other items and the power station charge lasted 6 or more days never getting below 25% reserve. Never used the car charger or solar charger so can't comment on those. Very happy with this purchase.
