Draws to much power when charging from ac causes breaker to trip. Had to turn off everything else on the same breaker. Update after reaching out to ecoflow the problem was resolved by downloading the ecoflow app and lowering the charge speed. This will take longer charge but since I'm using for power outage protection the charge speed is of no concern.

Style: DELTA 3 Plus with Extra Battery
My thoughts going into buying and, so far, two weeks of use of the Ecoflow 3 plus (EC3+) with the 1 KWH auxiliary battery. If you're not familiar with "solar generators", be aware that you'll (conservatively) lose 20 percent getting power into the battery. And for solar, you'll typically only get a maximum of 80 percent of the rated panel output unless you're up high, at high noon, with the panel(s) oriented perfectly, on a bright sunny summer day. AC to battery conversion loss isn't an issue. And it's nice that it charges so fast from house power or a gasoline generator. Then there's the conversion loss from the battery to the AC inverter and the DC outputs. Conservatively figure a 20 percent loss, again. Beware of the AC inverter's idle draw. Shut down the AC outputs when not in use. Or at least let it time out when there's no AC load. Remember, I'm being extra conservative for planning purposes. Carefully determine your use case when you size up how big a system to buy. Mine is to power the kitchen fridge/freezer at night, along with a few light loads, without running the gasoline generator. I'll use the gasoline generator at half draw during the day for topping off the EF3+ when solar can't charge up enough during the next day, while keeping up with the fridge load. And I'm assuming that we'll eat the freezer food down after a few days, and can transfer the remaining refrigerated food into our smaller, much more power-efficient refrigerator (only). After which, we should be able to continue on, solar only, most days. Understand that while the EF3+ can output 1500 watts continuously, it only holds 1024 watt-hours. Meaning, plan on it only being able to operate at 100 watts output for 8 hours (remember, I'm planning a 20 percent output conversion loss). In my case, the additional battery should be able to power my kitchen fridge/freezer (120 watts average) during the "dark hours", with a few LED lights, the cable modem, and a small travel router running. On to the specific likes and nits of the EF3+ with the 1 KWH aux battery. Likes: 1) I love that the EC3+ and the aux battery each weigh less than 28 pounds. I can easily carry each separately up 2 floors from our storage room to our top floor with one arm. A 2 KWH unit would weigh over 50 pounds. And I love that it's scalable and more portable when just using the EC3+, alone. 2) I love that the EF3+ has two solar inputs. Beware that two large panels in series can exceed the max 60V inputs on the EF3+. And that two panels in parallel can exceed the recommended 15 amps for a long 10-gauge solar cable. Having two inputs makes it easier to have more than 500 watts (up to 1 KW) of solar, using two separate panels into the two inputs. 3) The EF3+ is pretty quiet, which is nice with it inside. Not so (or possible) with a gasoline generator. And it's nice to level out my gasoline generator load and not be running it inefficiently with light loads. Nits: 1) Two weeks of using it and leaving it idle when I'm not using it, and it still hasn't updated the firmware from V1.0.0.0. 2) I have a lot of emergency radio equipment that runs on 12V. But it's more DC than the EC3+ can provide. Not a big deal, since I have separate 12V batteries that I can power it with. But be aware of the DC limit if you need more than 10 amps of DC current. I'll try to update as I think of more things, and I get more use out of it.

I purchased an EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus with the Smart Extra Battery primarily as a UPS for my home office. It powers my fiber ONT, wireless router, networking equipment, and my wife’s work computer. She works from home, so maintaining internet and computer power during brief outages is important. On that front, the system has been excellent. The switchover during power interruptions is fast enough that her computer and our networking equipment remain online without interruption. We’ve had several outages since purchasing it, and the DELTA 3 Plus has performed exactly as advertised. Unfortunately, my experience with the Smart Extra Battery has been much less positive. I’ve had two Smart Extra Batteries fail with Error Code EC726. In both cases, the main DELTA 3 Plus continued working normally, but the Extra Battery stopped charging and became unusable. EcoFlow replaced the first battery under warranty, but the replacement eventually developed the same issue. To make matters more concerning, a friend independently purchased the same DELTA 3 Plus and Smart Extra Battery setup for the same purpose. Her Extra Battery has now developed the same EC726 error and is working through the process with tech support to rectify it. I appreciate that EcoFlow ultimately honored my warranty, but the support process has been frustrating and time consuming. Every step after the initial call is handled through email, often with one request per day: first photos and videos, then one serial number, then another serial number, then remote diagnostics. While each request is reasonable by itself, handling them sequentially turns what could be a one- or two-day process into a much longer experience. I understand that EcoFlow needs to verify warranty claims. My suggestion would simply be to request all required information in the initial phone call and email so customers don’t lose days waiting for the next question. Overall, I still think the DELTA 3 Plus is an excellent portable power station and UPS. If I were reviewing only the main unit, I’d probably give it five stars. However, repeated Smart Extra Battery failures and the lengthy warranty process reduce my confidence in the overall system. If EcoFlow improves the long-term reliability of the Smart Extra Battery, I’d have little hesitation recommending this setup.

I’m very happy with the product. Delta 3 plus. I had recently purchased one, and found that I needed more storage. I took advantage of a sales bundle that included the Delta 3 Plus and an Extra battery. I will give one of the power stations to my grandchildren. A tornado that caused a 3-day power outage last year made me aware of the need for substantial back up. I plan to use it regularly for some appliances , without permanent installation on the grid, to save a little on electricity and get more immediate benefit from the purchase. I’m sure it is because I’m not an experienced user, but I had a little trouble understanding what settings to use on the app to have it set like I wanted. But, since there was no emergency, I was able to figure most of it out. The Service line was Very quick to respond and efficiently helpful when the panels weren’t sending as much power as I expected. They furnished a new cable to start troubleshooting the problem. I thought I read all the information carefully before the purchase, but buyers should be aware that at this time, 400 wh panels, of Any Brand, will only send a percentage of that amount at a time. I did not know that, but I looked up the information after installation. This power setup is designed to get as much power as possible, so don’t be disappointed with the limitations. It’s within or at the top of expected percentage. I would advise giving yourself a few days to learn all the settings before depending on it exclusively. Some need specific settings.,Easier to learn without pressure. The phone app is very helpful. No noise that I could hear. Power unit is portable at 27 lbs.. if initially charged with home AC, plug-in, setup is simple..

The device won't charge, it displays an error code, and the manual doesn't explain the problem or how to fix it. Customer service is terrible, and they only provide a phone number for inquiries across the entire US. My advice is not to buy it, because if you have problems, they won't help you solve them.
