The whole-house battery back-up system from Ecoflow was a great investment, especially with the 30% tax credit. I run the Smart Home Panel 2 in Emergency Power (EPS) mode, which provides an instantaneous fail-over for 12 of my circuits. Whenever we lose power, which can happen for short periods in FL, my important circuits never go down. I no longer need the small UPS in these rooms. I don't have solar or a generator (but could) - my main purpose for this system is peace of mind and hurricane season in FL. This replaced my original 100A subpanel, and installation took a full day. Not all the circuits to be backed up were on the original subpanel, so the electrician had to run wires between the sub and main to move the low priority circuits over to the main and the high priority ones to the smart panel. I used an electrician who had installed one previously - they charged $1900 and did a great job. There were other higher quotes. But their job stopped at installation; I had to use the app to update firmware and start up the system. It wasn't too difficult. The app is impressive and works well. It provides good visibility into power consumption and status on each circuit, on/off functions, and other programmatic controls. My only disappointment is that I cannot run it in EPS mode and also schedule fail-over tasks; the app indicates these functions are not compatible. Design suggestion: make the scheduled tasks able to turn off the EPS mode to conduct the fail-over and then turn it back on when it returns to main power. So far I've only had a few short power outages without any issue. No major outages yet, but I'm happy not to have to fuss with a generator when it does. If you hate generators (like me) and all that goes with them, you’ll love this solution.

I have this paired with an ecoflow panel to provide backup power for my fridge, freezer and furnace during a power outage and it works perfectly. I bought 3 batteries for a total of 18KWh which will keep me online for 2 days. If you pair it with some solar panels, you can setup a cycle where it will recharge from the sun during the day and discharge at night. You can also plug a generator into the ecoflow panel as a backup if you dont have solar or the panels are snow covered. This solution is also half of the cost of a tesla powerwall with almost double the capacity. Plus you can easily expand your storage capacity at will just by plugging in more batteries. I paid 10k for the whole setup and got 3k back from the government rebate.

Everything arrived in less than 2 weeks without any problems. Connected this system to an existing 10 circuit transfer switch. Added an extra battery (now have 2), added 8 x 195-watt solar panels. Batteries came with a 30% change. Used solar and gas generator to charge to 100%. Then ran my 10 circuits (everything we must have) for over a day with solar disconnected. With solar connected (and some sunny days) we could run for a few days easy. Overall, very happy with the system. Had a chance to use their support and warranty recently. My 14-yr old gas generator died. So, I tried charging by plugging into a 110V outlet which didn't work, no error or indication why. Contacted support via email (emails are answered overnight) and got a canned response the next day that had me try the normal basic stuff. I answered back that none of that resolved the problem. They then wanted a detailed description of the problem and to upload a video of the failing phenomenon and also to try different outlets, which I did. After a couple of days, they determined (educated guess) the problem was the AC power cord and were sending me a new one. That took over a week and did noy fix the problem. I then asked them to replace the controller / inverted. The next day they informed they would send me a NEW unit as soon as they received my unit. They provided a FedEx shipping label. Sent my unit back and received the new replacement in just over a week. So why 5 stars? They replaced my unit with a NEW unit. I also found out that all the outlets I tried were unused and on a GFI circuit which popped as soon as the AC cord was plugged in, probably a grounding issue. AC charging worked fine on a non GFI outlet. Their products are great, and they honored their warranty. Uploading a video was a little strange!

Update Oct 7, 2026 Do NOT buy this garbage. I was charging the unit at an ev charger and once it reached about 85% I decided to stop and leave. I flip the solar switch back to "on" and nothing. Tried resetting the unit by turning it off and unplugging everything and letting it sit for a few hours. Turned it back on and solar charging still doesn't work. Contacted support and all they did was forward the issue to Amazon since that's where I purchased it. Like ummmm, what is Amazon gonna do, it's not a product they designed and manufactured. So now I'm stuck in limbo and more than likely nothing is going to be done about it. What am I supposed to do with a brick that doesn't charge from solar power...? Please save yourself several thousand dollars by not buying this junk. Original review here: Bought this with 2 batteries for vanlife. Got it on sale and used prime card for more savings. Works as expected, runs my window AC, air fryer and everything else fine. The only issue is that charging from an EV charger never reaches 7200w. It only goes up to 6100w. An extra 1200w would be nice, thats 10% of extra charge (since i have 2 batteries) per hour. Update: Been a few months now so... 1. The charge controller makes a clicking sound when it detects power from solar panels, not loud or obnoxious but something to consider i guess? It clicks on/off in the mornings and evenings due to low solar irradiation. 2. The battery level indicator is only accurate for a few days. I think the batteries have to be charged to 100% once in a while to keep it accurate. I currently have it set to max discharge 5% and max charge 95%. The amount of power I use from an EV charger and the percent on the display is off significantly, so when I notice that, i just charge it to full. 3. The LCD display is constantly turning off/on when power is being drawn or stops being drawn. I wish there was a way to permanently turn it off since I live in a van (soon a truck camper 😬) and the bright as light is annoying af. 4. The standby power consumption is consistent with some youtubers measurements. I'm estimating it to be 5-10% per day. That is a big deal for vanlife but the 2 mppts, AC and EV charging makes up for it. My next camper will probably have 1600-2000w worth of panels. I currently have 1040w which would be fine if I didnt run AC or electric heat but I spoil myself. 5. While driving, if your panels become shaded temporarily, the input will go to 0w before going back to normal. If you're in shade too long, say under a lengthy tunnel or bridge or a row of trees, the charge controller won't start charging immediately after you're back in the sun. It takes several minutes, I haven't timed it. This sucks. That's all I can think of for now, hope it helps. Update 2: I just realized the inverter spits out a ton of heat while charging. In my truck camper now and I find that it heats up the entire space really quickly. This might not be the best product for van/camper/rv living since the AC has to fight all the heat this thing produces. May be in the winter I'll have a different opinion...? Update 3: I noticed when charging, the battery % jumps from the mid 50% up to 70% or so. Kinda weird how it can be so innaccurate, even after the update that supposedly fixed the problem of it not displaying the correct battery level. Sometimes I feel like the battery % that's displayed is totally off...seems like a serious flaw when trying to run this on a small solar setup. When the battery level that's displayed is too low and it hits your max discharge level, you won't be able to use it even if you suspect the system is wrong. I'm thinking about selling this thing and going back to building my own system. 🤷 Update 4: Let the system drain to about 4% then charged it fully. It only charged ~8 KWh to get to 100%. Which means about 3500-4000Wh was left, likely in the second battery. The voltage reading must be off so that's probably why it thinks there's only 4% left. Such a disappointment. Update 5 (Sept 20, 2026): Well, I woke up today to find my AC output was turned off for no reason at all. I have all the "device timeout" settings to "never" and disabled auto updates, so that's not the issue. Just another disappointment. Also, there's no built in alternator or dc-dc charging capabilities. And...if you don't have a permanently on wifi connection and the device is cut off from the internet/wifi, there's no way of turning it back on unless you manually switch the solar off and then turn the entire unit off then back on. What a pain.

I have the Delta pro ultra with three extra batteries, living off grid in a box truck and a custom engineered RV trailer. Located in Quartzsite, Arizon, Boon-dock living with (16) 250 W solar panels. I have a 7 ft.³ deep, freeze, refrigerator, a 12,000 BTU mini split (22 see2), Starlink, eight high-end night vision cameras, running 24 hours a day, as well as a Mac M4 studio computer operating at least eight hours a day. Thermostat is set at a cozy 72° during the day and 68 at night I found that it is most effective if you were located in extreme heat to have the batteries within the air-conditioned space. The heat produced by the batteries charging is minuscule if you have a mini split.

Works incredibly well! Switches over to battery with minimal flickering of a light! Wonderful customer service! Live in Florida and was in the path of the last two hurricanes back to back! We lost power several times! This was incredible ! Told several people we know this is the system to get! What I like the best is that we can grow our system to our needs! Extremely versatile! We can save money during peak hours or get completely off the grid! Will add to it in the future! Company keeps me informed of special sales and upgrades and easy to contact for questions! I don’t understand why everyone owns one! Started looking at this system for portable use when we were traveling in our rv for two years as a extra source of electricity and came upon this system for our house .just added this system to our home and couldn’t be happier! What I love about this company is that you have alternatives for every life styles!

I purchased this battery to go with my Delta Pro Ultra. I live where the power goes out regularly enough it's important to be able to go a few hours without power or to provide my own. I sometimes work from home and I actually lost power today. I ran this battery attached to the Delta Pro Ultra and it got me through the power outage with plenty to spare. I was able to keep all my technology items going and keep working through the outage. Other than weighing a ton and being a lot of weight to handle on your own, these are pretty simple devices. Simply plug it in to the delta pro ultra stack with the provided jumper cable and away you go. You might be able to get tax benefits/credits (will need to do your own research) based on the amount of power one of these batteries provides. I intend to do this and keep buying batteries, as I can, to max out the stack at 5. These are pretty expensive is my main complaint so time your purchases with major shopping events like prime day and you can get a pretty decent discount here on Amazon. Amazon isn't the only place that carries these but the prices here seem to track with other places as sales happen at the same time. NOTE: you do need the Ecoflow Delta Pro to use this. I am not aware of a way to use this battery any other way.
