I got this with the ecoflow smart panel 2. I gave it 4 stars because all the Youtube reviewers Failed to mention one major issue. You have to special order the in/out cable separately. and without knowing the name of this cable its not easy to find. when found It is an additional 129.00 dollar cost. Pus taxes and shipping. I found this out the hard way. The unit I got though is a beast. Even though its only as 6kwh battery. I know i will need to upgrade eventually to 5 batteries to fully run my home. I will eork. I use it now as a stand alone unit until i can get the cables to connect it to the smart panel. not sure how they can improve this. but Exelent job Ecoflow

Everything arrived in less than 2 weeks without any problems. Connected this system to an existing 10 circuit transfer switch. Added an extra battery (now have 2), added 8 x 195-watt solar panels. Batteries came with a 30% change. Used solar and gas generator to charge to 100%. Then ran my 10 circuits (everything we must have) for over a day with solar disconnected. With solar connected (and some sunny days) we could run for a few days easy. Overall, very happy with the system. Had a chance to use their support and warranty recently. My 14-yr old gas generator died. So, I tried charging by plugging into a 110V outlet which didn't work, no error or indication why. Contacted support via email (emails are answered overnight) and got a canned response the next day that had me try the normal basic stuff. I answered back that none of that resolved the problem. They then wanted a detailed description of the problem and to upload a video of the failing phenomenon and also to try different outlets, which I did. After a couple of days, they determined (educated guess) the problem was the AC power cord and were sending me a new one. That took over a week and did noy fix the problem. I then asked them to replace the controller / inverted. The next day they informed they would send me a NEW unit as soon as they received my unit. They provided a FedEx shipping label. Sent my unit back and received the new replacement in just over a week. So why 5 stars? They replaced my unit with a NEW unit. I also found out that all the outlets I tried were unused and on a GFI circuit which popped as soon as the AC cord was plugged in, probably a grounding issue. AC charging worked fine on a non GFI outlet. Their products are great, and they honored their warranty. Uploading a video was a little strange!

After purchasing this product through Amazon, I later discovered it was being sold cheaper elsewhere. I reached out to the company hoping to buy an additional item so they could offset the price difference instead of issuing a refund — but they flat-out refused. What really changed my opinion about this company, though, was their lack of professionalism and attention to detail. They don’t even include a printed manual with a $7,000 product! Instead, they expect you to go online and read a digital version. But here’s the kicker — when you actually need the manual, there’s likely no power. How exactly is an online manual supposed to help in that situation? When I called to request a printed manual, they literally printed out the PDF themselves and mailed me a low-quality, unstapled stack of papers. Unbelievable. You’d think a company selling high-end products would take pride in the customer experience, but this felt cheap, dismissive, and completely unworthy of the price tag. What kind of Mickey Mouse operation thinks this is acceptable for a $7K purchase? And now, after weeks of back-and-forth, EcoFlow has given me three or four completely different answers to the same question about product compatibility. Every email comes from a different person, each with a completely different explanation. The level of misinformation and disorganization is astonishing. It’s clear there’s no consistency, no accountability, and no genuine concern for customer satisfaction — just the kind of careless, impersonal service you’d expect from a company operating under a detached, overseas mindset. At this point, I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone looking for reliability, transparency, or professionalism.

This thing goes WAY beyond expectation! It automatically balances solar inputs and circuit outputs, charging the battery to peak and then shutting off the solar if you aren’t loading it with household circuits. If battery charge drops below your pre-set emergency battery storage level, it pulls electricity from the grid to fill in the gaps. You’re covered 24/7, one way or another. I’ve been eyeballing it and testing things and on a sunny summer day, overnight draws are replaced and the batteries topped off by noonish. Right now, my whole house is running through it with the exception of the A/C and the circuit that the unit is plugged into in order to draw grid power. I have more solar cells coming and a second battery, at which point I expect the electric company to start wondering why I’m selling them electricity but not buying any.
