I bought this for my 2017 L5P Duramax, and it has been an awesome tool for my truck. There are so many great things about this, first off there are so many parameters for the L5P Duramax, I think there is 5 different egt readouts, a boost gauge, turbo vane position(helps me control the exhaust brake manually) fuel pump psi, fuel rail pressure, coolant temp(the factory gauge is a liar!) and the list goes on and on and on. It also reads codes which has helped me because I have had some emissions system problems, and onstar is not much help as far as check engine lights go. And it can also command a dpf regeneration, I love this, One time I was on a road trip and I was towing, so I had gone about 650 miles without a regen, I knew it would be coming up soon and since I was about an hour away from my destination, I thought I would just command it while I was stopped, and so it didnt start and get all hot right before I was about to shut it off, and make it inconvienent to drive around town(keep driving message). On the highway the truck heats up a lot less to do a regen and it completes it faster. So win win. I love this thing and I feel it was worth every penny, would highly recommend it to anyone who likes watching what there truck is doing, it has really taught me a lot more about my truck and I love it!!! ... show more

Works good, easy use, you have to buy $120 per custom tunes third party like jelibuilt performance whom are very easy to work with. This programmer has several plus upgrade options, be ready to spend more to get more

    • They were willing to fix the touch screen calibration issue that made it unusable.
I had written the company off because of the screen problem, the glitchiness, and the lack of clarification about which features work with which truck makes. BUT it is hard to write any software with any features, and this has a lot, sure not every Make works with all the features but try that at home.... that ain't easy buddy. For what it cost and what it does, it is an amazing deal. It's be far more amazing if they were up front about its limitations across Makes. A good many people are having this screen problem. I don't know if they have upgraded the innards to fix the issue. Used to be $100 plus shipping to fix it. Mine was way out of warranty, but I had contacted them in the past about it and they did not volunteer to fix it then, when it was barely out of warranty. Fortunately I got an excellent tech support guy this time and he took care of it for me. All I paid for was the shipping. Because of that and what it is and does...     • Four hundred dollar piece of junk!
When the product advertises that it can gauge the DPF soot load percentage, I expected more accuracy than 0% or 100%, but according to tech support this is completely normal, even though this truck monitors that in 5% increments on the dash. This feature, and the ability to manual DPF regen are the only reasons I bought this thing. If it can't manual DPF regen, it's going to be returned. I'll update my review after I attempt a manual DPF regen. Also, this is in a stock 2015 Ford F-350 Powerstroke if that helps you decide. Update: Device didn't even last one week, and yes, the firmware is up to date. Now it won't connect to the truck and reads contact tech support. Too bad tech support is only available 8-5 MTN time Monday through Friday, because that's my work schedule, so I'd have to take a day off to trouble shoot the device with them. Between this defective product, and the hours that tech support make themselves available, this has been a terrible purchase. I'm just thankful I bought through Amazon because returning it will be easy. ... show more

    • Well worth the money!
This is an amazing device. It is much more than I expected. I recently purchased a 2015 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel and wanted a boost gauge as well as an EGT gauge. I found out the Ram truck HAS sensors for both of those but they are not visible to an OBD2 scanner. The CTS2 allows me to see ALL the OBD2 sensor readings as well as teh Ram specific stuff. I am very impressed by the ease of installed, the slick finished feel of the device, and it just looks great. I am still learning what all it can do, but it definitely saved me money compared to buying multiple gauges, with pods and lots of install time. Install was as simple as plugging in the cable to the obd2 port, then hiding it along side the edge of the dash, putting the suction cup mount where I wanted and then plugging in the CTS2, took about ten minutes. The instructions are simple and clear, plus when I had questions about peripheral devices the Edge support people responded immediately and clearly. ... show more
