I haven't owned a Motorola device since the 2nd generation Moto X back in 2014. The Galaxy S22, while a nice phone, was too small and I found that I missed the stock android experience, so when I found the Edge+ on sale for way less than most flagships go for these days, I went for it. The basics: setup is easy, especially if you're upgrading from another android phone. You could do things wirelessly, or you could get a fast USB 3.0 cable and immediately copy all of your photos, call history, texts, apps, and everything else over in minutes. You don't need to power this phone off to install your sim card either. Just pop it in, and your carrier will be recognized in moments. The fingerprint reader can be a bit finicky if you're using a screen protector, so keep this in mind: if you set your prints before you installed it, delete them, and re-apply them. You shouldn't have much issues after this. Performance: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is a incredibly processor. It's more than capable of handling whatever you throw at it. Even after installing several system updates it's speed remains top notch. Features: You'll have access to all kinds to personalization and gesture features that you can tune to your liking. Chop to turn on your flashlight and twisting the phone to enable the camera are both great features that were on the OG Moto X, so it's cool to know that they were kept on newer devices. Condition: Always check your sellers on this platform. The model I bought was shipped and sold from Amazon.com, which made the purchase a no brainer as returns/refunds/shipping would be a simple process. Still, when I received the Edge+, I noticed that the seal on the actual manufacturer's box was already cut. While nothing was missing from the box and the phone was clearly in new condition and hadn't been touched, it was still a bit odd. Either way, less is more. $399 for a phone with these specs is a bargain in a time where the current culture is pushing you to spend $1K on a phone. Are the cameras the best? No, but it takes solid photos and videos. And while Motorola only provides 3 years of software upgrades and four years of security updates, you honestly don't need to have the newest version of android as soon as they release. Trust me. These devices are already feature rich, and as far as security is concerned, use common sense: don't download sketchy apps or suspicious files onto your phone, or give your phone number to any sketchy characters. That said, this is a solid device.

I upgrade to this from a moto Z4 because it died after 4 years of daily use. Definitely worth the upgrade. I got this for $699 so the price was much better compared to the other flagship phones like the galaxy s23 ultra. Works great on the Verizon network. I am using it on US Mobile without any issues. The battery life so far has been amazing. Under light use I could easily see this lasting three days. I use it pretty heavily throughout the day and by the time I go to bed it is still typical around 30% to 40%. I like the look of the phone too. Phone was a bit slippery but it is fine with a case. I recommend a screen protector too. Phone is a little big with a case but nothing compared to the brick sized s23 ultra. Typing one handed is hard but it is possible. The camera is good, but not the best. It is not a bad camera by any means. But when compared to Samsung or pixel phones, I think they are a bit better. But I am not a photographer so that doesn't really bother me. It suits me just fine. One downside to this phone is the lack of options for cases and screen protectors. I don't know why a company as big as Motorola is lacking so much in third party case options. Overall I highly recommend this phone. It is fast, smooth, has great storage, and has exceptional battery life.

I decided to switch from an iPhone 14 pro max to this phone. I've been using it for about a week now and I'm really enjoying it. The battery life is just as good as the iPhone (which is saying a lot), while still being a lot lighter which makes it comfortable to hold in my hand with me pinky underneath. I installed a screen protector I got off Amazon and it's had no trouble with the curved edges. The pictures the phone takes are also really good. iPhones are sort of the gold standard when it comes to photos, but for someone like me I honestly can't tell the difference between them, they look great. The phone has a regular SIM card slot and an ESIM installed so you can use whichever works best, or both. The stereo speakers are also very loud if that's something you're looking for. They sound good for what they are as well. I was nervous about how well the fingerprint scanner would work with it being underneath the screen, but I'm happy to say it works just as well as FaceID. Sometimes it will miss your fingerprint, but no more than FaceID can't see your face at an angle, so it's not a tradeoff. The phone charges super fast with the included charger, it honestly surprised me. I have the fast charger for the iPhone but it's nowhere near as fast as this. I put it on the charger this morning at 16%, and when I got out of the shower and back to my phone it was in the 80s. Overall, I love this phone. It's every bit as premium as other flagships just $100-$200 cheaper, the Motorola gestures and always on display are actually useful, and it takes great photos. I'm looking forward to using this phone for a few years.

I got this phone and was like no always on? geez didn't know phones didn't have it being mostly in the Samsung ecosystem. The cameras are better than expected as I heard Motorola's cameras sucked. The processor is better than my Samsung Zflip 4 though not as nice as some of the newer ones I don't seem to lag or have performance issues. I was surprised my phone service provider Twigby supported E-sim with this phone. 8gig and 512 is pretty good the 512 is a lot more storage than the 128 on my Samsung. The graphics and speakers are acceptable for the price, but there nothing to write home about. The Smart Connect is better than Dex and probably why Samsung ditched it in their newer phones and switched to it. I wouldn't pay more than 450 for this phone though because two years of updates is just bad everyone else has 4 to 7. Lenovo's always sucked for updates in software. For a midrange phone this is ok and acceptable because I got payments with no interest. I think there may be better phones at the same price with longer support such as the Pixel 7 plus but you don't get payment options from Amazon from that one except from Affirm and the interest is high. I'm ok with this phone it does what I need and takes decent photos, calls are clear and the internet is as good as my phone service allows. The QI is decent at 15 watts not particularly exceptional, but all right. The charging is faster than Samsung and you can pretend you are Turboman with turbo-charging.

I've been using this phone for like 2 years and I'm still in love with it the screen is immaculate I love it, super smooth refresh rate of and not to talk about the speakers quality damn they sound so good and pretty loud too, I bought it at the time for 450 ish and yes that was a good value for this beuti it runs almost any game made for Android on más to medium settings I love the colors of the screen and pictures now one flaw that I hate is autofocus I'm sorry about what I'm about to say but autofocus on this device is trash it takes so long to focus it's not annoying when you're taking pictures but it is when you're taking a video sometimes it'll focus the wrong things and takes a long time to correct it, besides that 10/10 smartphone

-->> 2nd edit to my review: i returned the phone to Amazon and bought it again with best buy and it worked right out of the box. - Verizon said the IMEI of the Amazon phone wasn't compatible<<-- I bought this phone on May 19th 2023 when it was first available. I got it two days later. The following day I wanted to activate it with Verizon, this phone was clearly advertised as being compatible for Verizon. Verizon told me otherwise. Motorola told me it's compatible with Verizon. I had to argue with both companies that they oppose each other's opinion and I'm just the person who pays for the device. There was no solution being offered from neither of both parties. It is unbelievable that Motorola could not find the issue and you would think they work long enough together with all the carriers to figure out how to make a phone and how to sell it. Since Motorola couldn't find out this problem the literally told me I want to return it and ask for my money back. I asked them if they are going to tell this every single customer who wants to buy this device and cannot activate it, opposing the initial compatibility as per advertisement. I got nothing but apologies. Don't buy this phone! The initial title of my review was : "not overwhelming for a current flagship" This is my second motorola. The first one I just replaced with this edge Plus 2023. I must say it's nice but not overwhelming for the price I paid. My old Motorola MOTO z4, which is now 4yrs years old, had also already a 50 megapixel camera. So this did not change much except of the software. Also my old Motorola has a much more saturated colored display ( if you compare one by one). However the display is very good and the stereo speakers do the rest, YouTube videos are a charm. It's a downside not to have an external memory card slot. However, I can use an adapter cable and access a flash drive through USBC. I may update this review.

I love the touch screen how responsive and fast this phone is. The screen size seems pretty good, and it feels good in the hand. I really love the extra fast charging love the high-capacity space. I watch a lot of shows on my phone. I ended up buying a case for. it. The phone seems very durable as I have dropped it and no scratches. I bought a case just to be safe. Another thing I really love about this phone is the charge time. It charges really fast in about 35 minutes I get a full charge from 0% from the adapter which is actually included with the phone. I really appreciated this. The camera one the phone is pretty good, especially for the money. If I could go back and make a choice again, I would pick this same phone and highly recommend it.

This phone replaced a Samsung Galaxy S7, and while I was a bit hesitant because I loved my galaxy so much, I have quickly forgotten about it while using this Motorola. It's fast, has a spectacular screen, the camera is phenomenal for taking wide angle astrophotography shots, and the battery is insane. It comes with a turbo charger that will charge fully in about 20 minutes. It didn't come with too much bloatware, but heavily relies on Google apps and services (not too pleased, but whaddya do?). I've always had Android phones, so navigating this phone isn't any different. When researching phones, I was looking for 2 things, expandable storage and wireless charging. It's weird that in 2023, you can't get both of those options on the same device. I had to compromise and went with wireless charging. Got the 512gb to make up for the storage (I take a lot of pictures). Some people complain that wireless charging isn't even that great because it's slow, BUT on every phone I've ever owned, the charging port is the first thing to give you problems. It gets full of dust and lint if it's in your pocket and then you have to fiddle with the cord to get it just right to charge, or it stops altogether. We've all been there. I tend to keep my phones for years and I need wireless charging as a failsafe. I also got a case that also has a cover over the USB port. I can get 2 days on the battery with normal use. Battery also doesn't drain faster once it gets to a certain percentage, and in the settings, it gives you an approximate amount of time you have left. I have had a Motorola Edge in the past, but they have gotten a lot better. I'm extremely pleased with this phone.
