I bought 4 pairs of Eddie Bauer boots in the past 14 months. I have a 12 months old German short hair puppy, LOL. I have flat feet. To try out the new boots, i need to remove the shoe insoles and replace it with powerstep arch support inserts. But the shoe insoles were glued to the shoes base. I tried it out with the shoes original insoles, but my feet just didn't feel right without the orthotic inserts. I had to rip the shoes insoles from the base and in the process, the shoes are not returnable. Eddie Bauer boots insoles should not be glued to the shoe base. My other 3 pairs didn't have this issue. This is why I gave 4 stars. Other then the insoles glued to the boots, I like Eddie Bauer boots.

Decent boots for the price. However, as other comments mentioned, the (in)sole is soft and thin that you can feel the ground in each step, this make me feel uncomfortable walking long time with the boots
