My saddle basically fits my mare, but a few fingers fit in a couple places. This pad is perfect. It is comfortable and helps the saddle rest perfectly without any gaps. This is a must buy.

It arrived looking just like the photo with a vibrant, solid, color except that it has an obnoxious white logo brand tape down the spine area. I was fine with the small tag in the product photo but this garish logo lone really does go all the way down the spine! I bought this for a costume for my horse and the tacky white and black brand lettering ruins the look. I'll need to figure out how to paint it or something because right now the logo along the spine is pretty ugly and shows in some areas under the saddle. Something to know is that this is not your standard Western saddle pad. It's like a western close contact pad. It's built just like an English all purpose pad so you may need to use it with another pad to work but, at the same time, it's a benefit as it's lightweight enough that if you remove the shims you can toss it in the washing machine and keep it cleaner than a typical western pad. It also has two pockets on each side, it would be good to have 3 but 2 work. I've now used this pad every week for months and it's dirty but otherwise in GREAT shape, no stitching issues . So much so that even with the awful logo tape I'm looking to buy another. The shim foam has held up perfectly and my horse is comfortable.

Fantastic pad for a TB type horse that doesn't break the bank! Most western pads don't enough whither clearance for non-stock horses. It is built more like an English pad but cut for a western saddle. Works great under my trail/western dressage saddle. The shims aren't the best quality, but that's not unexpected for the price and easy enough to cut others using these as a template.

I really wanted this pad to work! My review is not intended to discourage others from purchasing, just to give information based on my experience, & why this product did not meet my expectations. I hope this helps! PROS • Nice look; similar to some of my more expensive pads • Ideal if you it customized/personalized, with trim/piping, &/or monogramming/Embroidery • A nice change of style, from typical western pads…these pads looks like many of my English pads (which I was looking for) • Ease of Cleaning: appears easy to clean (I did not use, or wash, but pad is similar to some of my other pads, that are easy to wash) CONS • Too thin: pad/inserts offer no support/cushioning • The description…“Therapeutic Contoured Correction support” “Adjustable Memory Foam”…is not accurate: the pads/inserts offer no cushioning/support…they are cheap foam, and squish completely flat • If layering: I found this did not work on top of other pads, and if using this pad under a standard size pad (which I found would be necessary), the quilted pad will be covered/not seen I was very happy to find this (quilted) western saddle pad, that looked more like my English pads, at a great price! •I really tried/wanted to use this pad…below is what I tried, without success… • Layering with various, additional pads/half-pad/supports • Tried with various/multiple saddles (including English), and horses • Tried with/without inserts • Tried under/on top of additional pads/supports Unfortunately, in the end…this just will not work for me! Again…too thin, no support, the pads are completely useless.

Durable fabric, easy to wash. I love how the inserts are in multiple pieces, making for a good fit from horse to horse. They also have a small piece of velcro over the top so the inserts can’t slip out.

Returned this item It was very sturdy and functional we got the black and it was a nice color and easy to clean up but it lacked thickness and did not help with what it says it's for its to thin with the pads in its the thickness of a typical saddle pad and don't do a lot unless you plan to use multiple pads all around disappointed with the product!
