I watched so many youtube videos before I found and purchased this one. I really didn't want to spend over $200 on a bag, but I felt like I should probably splurge, since I will be traveling a lot with it. I am trying to travel as light as possible because I would like to go just one bag so I have the freedom of travelling around without dragging a big carryon bag around. Well, this one is only 1.6lbs, which is lighter than almost all of the expensive backpacks I have seen reviewed. The way it's compartmentalized is perfect. I love the way it has the luggage style inside with plenty of room to pack flat or use packing cubes inside, and then a really nice size pocket besides that for snacks and tech etc, and the outer pocket which has plenty of room for things like folded hats, paperwork, travel cables, clothes lines, etc. (Don't keep passport in there since it's on the outside.) The middle pocket zips all the way around, which I like, so you can open it up as wide as you like (secure the zipper on the TOP of the bag, not the sides, for security) The straps and the back of it are padded and comfy. I haven't tested how waterproof it is and hope I don't have to lol. It is very sturdy cloth (?), though. I like to put pins on my backpacks, and it was hard to get the pin through the fabric. I probably defeated the purpose of the waterproofness by doing that, but that's ok because it was just on the outer pocket, plus, since it was so hard to push them through, I imagine it will be fine. The zippers are SO smooth. I can just pull it open. That's something that's super important to me, because I have a lot of pain in my hands and opening zippers is hard and painful for me. But the zipper also seems very sturdy. I'll be testing it out. I won't be stuffing it full and tight, though. The 80% rule is pretty good. Another good thing about the zippers is that they have holes big enough in the pull to be able to use the tiny biners to lock the zippers together. You could use a small lock if you wanted, too. I like that extra ability for security. Plus, it looks cool. :) Overall, it's a super great value! I'm so glad I found it. It's perfect in every way for me. It will easily carry everything I need for a trip anywhere, for as long as I want. One note: depending on the airline, it might be too large to be a personal item and might need to be put in the overhead bin (or god forbid, gate checked). I will try to get by with it, though! I think it will be a good size for buses in Mexico and not be needed to be thrown under the bus. We'll see and I will report back about these things.

Best backpack! Love that it opens like a suitcase so it is easy to pack. I have back and shoulder issues so don't usually use a backpack, but this can be carried like a small suitcase or worn as a backpack. Both the backpack and my purse fit under the seat on the airplane. Holds a surprising amount, and if all the space is not needed, straps can be pulled to make it more compact and smaller. Lots of different pockets so very versatile. I will be using this in place of carry on for most trips. One thing to know-charging port is just a hole you can use to connect device to a power bank inside the suitcase so I didn't use it.

This is a great backpack for travel as a personal item. The front pocket can be used for easily accesed needs. The space for laptops can be used for other things that you want to be secure. Used this area for my liquids bag for easy access. The main compartment is very roomy. The best way to pack is to keep things in other smaller bags with the heaviest weight tk be on the bottom. Carried about 10 - 12 lbs of stuff with no problem. Straps are very secure and xomfortable. I am 4ft 10 and it fit well for short folks with the above weight. Quality material but would have liked a little heavier to retain shape better.

My husband and I both received this backpack for our trip to Europe. It was so perfect that when my daughter needed a new carry-on, we got her one of these backpacks for her own. The fabric is sturdy. I has numerous exterior pockets. We used the top small pocket for chargers, battery packs, and adapters. The medium size front pocket was perfect for toiletries, bandaides, protein bars, and more. The large exterior pocket was used for swimwear, undergarments, etc. The main compartment is so spacious. Two pairs of sneakers, a pair of sandals and numerous outfits. Once the main compartment is zipped, there are side buckles on both sides, that when closed and the straps are pulled, compressed the bag so it's not so bulky. The backpack straps are padded and very comportable. This is a perfect weekend back, and if you're a thoughtful packer, it can even be used for a week trip. Looks great too!

Worked great! Went overseas earlier this year and found my expensive carryon roller's were now oversized. Bought new roller bag for wife and this Ecohub for me and it worked great. Fit more stuff than roll on bag and I used it as a regular backpack during our trip. Worked great on trains going from town to town on short trips during our extended stay. Only problem is it holds so much its easy to fill it up and can get heavy. Great bag!!!

I have a thing for backpacks and luggage, and this has become my go-to carry on for weekend trips, and on cheapo airlines. Zip opens fully on 3 sides. Plus two outside panel pockets - the larger of which is plenty big for a laptop, and has another zip pocket inside, and a large mesh pocket! There a “secret” hidden zip section for passports on the back, along with a strap for pulling over a wheel-aboard handle. There’s also ann easy access compartment on top (a really decent size for medications, tissues, lip balm, phone, ID etc.). Deep cup/bottle holder on the side. Great color. Nice material. Pull handles on top and Side. Wire pass through port on the top. Decently padded adjustable shoulder straps. Cinch downs on the sides - Only issue is you must release them to access the zippered side. Great bag for the price. No wear and tear or damage after countless trips over the past 1.5 years.

After packing and unpacking no fewer than 4 bags in my horde trying to get everything to fit for an international flight, I frustratedly got this bag short notice and it was delivered same day. I was skeptical at first thinking there were so many other high quality bags out there for 3 times the cost of this, but what did I have to lose? I was pleasantly surprised at not only the ample capacity of this bag, but the quality of it. The value of this bag on first impression was well beyond the financial cost. The only things lacking from what I saw were locking zippers, but every personal item bag in their line has a security pocket on the back panel so I could make do. This trip will tell how the bag holds up under practical usage - I’ll update after we get back! Update 1, 3 days into the trip: I’m still impressed with the capacity of this bag. It fit perfectly under the seat in front of me. The three things that would improve this bag include a grip at the bottom of the bag in case it needs to go into overhead storage, built in zipper locks or a way to prevent the zippers from opening too easily, and more padding on the straps. If you fill the bag to capacity or go over about 7kg, it starts to hurt your shoulders from the straps chafing. I had a hard time wearing my bag for longer than 5 minutes at a time because the straps felt like they were cutting into my shoulders. Also the stitching around the straps looks like it might break after a bit. Overall, I still think the bag is great value for the price. Update 2: end of 3 week trip with three additional flights, 1 coach ride, 4 cities total. The bag held up well all the way through, but I left it behind in the last hotel after getting a different bag in country. This one’s mesh straps hurt my shoulders more than a smooth-backed strap would. I had it loaded to about 9kg (~20 lb) total weight according to an airline scale. The straps don’t come with any kind of sternum strap nor a way to attach one diy without sewing one in, so they dug into my armpits and made me sweatier than normal. Bottom line: great bag, I still give it a 5/5 because of its sneaky capacity, lovable pockets, the inner securing strap, and it came in clutch when I needed it most. Probably would have been more comfy if I’d not loaded it to 9kg, might have been better in the 4.5 - 7kg range. Added some pictures of the threading I was concerned about and the zipper starting to get some fluff from use.
