My local auto parts store did not have this air filter on hand but gave me the ordering information for it. (Nice folks!) He didn't think my existing filter looked that bad, but I got the vehicle (2018 Toyota Highlander Hybrid) second hand and had no idea when it had last been replaced so I sent for this one. It might be the time of year (making the switch from winter driving to summer) but even with A/C on and driving on hilly Appalachian roads my average mpg went from 23.5 to 29.6 and I have even had tanks where I got as much as 32.1. For the size of that vehicle, that's impressive. I have owned several other hybrids but this is the biggest and heaviest. I do a lot of out of state trips in it, carry a lot of stuff, and am a mindful but not necessarily timid driver; I'll go with the flow. I can't completely attribute the increase in mpg to the filter as I got better mileage last summer, too, but not quite this good (27 - 29). For me it was well worth the money, both because I want to take good care of the car and because I would feel like a ninny if it started overheating or otherwise having problems that I could have avoided with something as simple as this. ... show more

It says it dose not fit in 218 Toyota Highlander but It perfectly fits on my 2018 Is Toyota Highlander XLE It is a perfect fit and very easy to install I have a compartment and you have to just slide in nothing else that's it
