ECMRAD Aluminum Radiator is produced and designed to provide maximum cooling efficiency to prevent engine cooling failure. It is made of full aluminum light-weight, and high-heat transferring aluminum features a tube and fin design that, dramatically increases surface area that enables the heat to dissipate more efficiently. It has an increased durability over the factory plastic end tank radiator, and much inmprovwed engine cooling. Most importantly, it has a much higher capacity for coolant than stock ones, which means that your cooling system will be more efficient and will be more resistant to temperature surges in racing applications. I'll be adding coolant to the system tomorrow, however, upon unboxing, the rad seems to be a quality component. Welds seem to be proper (I filled the rad with water prior to install for a leak check, but we'll see what happens after some heat cycles & actual antifreeze is used). Perfect mounting fitment & it's noticably thinner that the alumi-plastic OE rad. Only negative is that the barb for coolant overflow isn't the same size as OE. Fit in my 07 ram 2500 5.9 Cummins like a glove. 5 months later. I don't do off roading Or anything like that in my truck. I'm assuming stress crack in a weld cause no where elts is it leaking. It's just forms right around a weld and starts dripping.
