A great bang for your buck! It takes four double A batteries. The remote control works at only the base so make sure you know where to direct it at. Tangles are minimal. The bulbs are tinier than regular Christmas light bulbs which works perfect for these smaller crafts like wreaths and garlands. They are a perfect dimmable soft yellow light. We love it on setting 4 at the dimmest. The only con is hoping that the “twinkling” would be more slower and just a dabble of a few at a time- just to be coherent with our Christmas tree but that’s not the lights fault whatsoever. It was long enough for my 16 flight of stairs worth of garland and back with very much generosity as well.

I used these to wrap my truck during Christmas. It was very easy to use and very fun to drive around. Battery life was good and the remote control was able to reach from the cab to the receiver (in the back of the bed). It was great to have to plug these into anything and just wrap them. Really cheap and great color options. There was a color option that I thought might get me pulled over lol- so if your wrapping your vehicle don't choose the flashing color option! Anyway great lights.

The lights work great for the price point, good quality, and are battery operated which is great because you do not have to run cords across your lawn for your landscaper to chop up with his lawnmower. Lol. Only small issue I have is I have a very large yard and I have all my palm trees wrapped with these lights. I have to actually go out in the beginning and turn each tree on. You have to be 5 to 6 feet away from the actual battery pack for the remotes to work. The good thing is that they six and 12 hour timers work great. You set the six hour timer for when you want them to come off and they shut off automatically after six hours. The best thing is once you program that timer, the lights will come on every day at the time you started the timer at without having to turn them on All in all they are a great product and I would buy them again

these lights work fairly well but a little tricky. They are pretty when on but there are many different settings to cycle through to get them to just stay on and not blink or flash. The remote on and off is also tricky with many tries to get it to do what you want.

The remote control is a plus. I love the different modes including blinking. You can also have it colorful or just yellow. They gave me the perfect length to wrap my whole vehicle. These get pretty bright as well. This is a fantastic deal!

Update: for the second time, a second set of lights has died due to water getting in. The first time, I was able to dry it out with a hairdryer and it came back to life, but water keeps getting into both sets when it rains, even after I added Sugru over the hole where the wires go in because I thought that might be where the water was getting in. My best guess is the rubber cap over the switch is not water tight. Since this keeps happening, and I can’t figure out how the water is getting in, I’m not going to try to fix it again. I’m going to return both sets as defective instead. There have been other problems, but this was the last straw. This same set always seemed a bit dimmer than the others, and I finally figured out a few days ago that it was because the PVC wrapping went higher up and covered more of the lens on this set. So the build quality is inconsistent as well. Also, one set always remembered its last setting when I clicked the button once, but the other set would never come on with the first click, only on the second click. Orginal review: Disappointed that there is only one Slo-Glo mode. This is the same controller found across many brands of color-changing 12-mode string lights, that is usually labeled with 3 Slo-Glo modes (one shifting from white to colors and back, one white, and one color) and has been in production for a couple of years. To Echosari’s credit, they at least correctly labeled the controller so that the modes that were supposed to be Slo Glo are somewhat more accurately labeled Twinkling (although I would describe it more as erratic, aggressive flashing, not twinkling). The flashing modes, while not unique to Echosari brand lights, are hideous. Reviews are for 200-LED color-changing battery-operated string lights, Clear Wire version and Green Wire version. Review for Clear Wire version: VERY IMPORTANT: Rechargeable batteries (Amazon Basics NiMH AA) BARELY fit in the Clear Wire version, and can hardly be removed without using some kind of tool to wedge it out. Manufacturers need to do a better job designing their battery compartments to accept rechargeables when the device will work with them. They do work once you get them in, however. The battery compartment, which has a white cover for the Clear Wire version, must have a slightly different mold at the factory. I mentioned in the Green Wire version that the fit was very tight, but this is much tighter still. The Clear wire feels more flexible than the Green wire, which may translate to better durability over time. If corrosion or rust occurs, it will be more detectable through the clear wire coating, which could alert you to pending failure ahead. Everything else is the same as for the Green Wire version, reviewed below. Review for Green Wire version: Update: water-proofness is not as good as expected. One of my strings stopped working when I changed out the batteries. I noticed water droplets had formed inside the clear area of the battery and control housing. It worked again after I dried it out thoroughly with a hair dryer. I would make sure to hang the battery/control module from its hook so that the button and wires come out at the bottom. Update #2: I finally figured out that 200-LED strings simply cannot run as brightly (or for as long, obviously) as shorter strings on the same amount of battery power. I didn’t like how dim these are using NiMH rechargeables, something I had never encountered with shorter strings that seemed lights. This is a mainly a limitation of the length of the string, really the number of LEDs, rather than a defect as such, to run on rechargeable NiMH batteries, which have slightly lower voltage than alkaline batteries. Maybe they could design the battery module to accept 6 batteries instead of 4 for the 200-LED length, since NiMH rechargeables are becoming more widely used as they get better and more affordable. My solution rather than buying and rehanging twice as many 100-LED strings to replace the 200s, was to upgrade to Li-ion (lithium ion) AA rechargeables, which supply the full 1.5v needed for the same brightness you’d get with alkaline batteries. Those have gotten better and more affordable as well. I bought two 8-packs for under $20 so I can have a set already charged when it’s time to change them. They’re only 2500mWh, which works out to a runtime similar to a 1600mAh NiMH, but at full brightness for nearly the entire time, unlike NiMH and alkaline which drop off in voltage (strength) quicker. The brightness at 100% with the full 1.5v is still just barely acceptable, however, not great, not even good, really. If you’re using rechargeable AA batteries, the good news is they do fit, but it’s VERY tight. The not-so-good news is these lights aren’t as bright as other strings I’ve used with rechargeables. The other negative is that the wires connecting the light string to the battery pack are very thin and fragile, but that’s unfortunately on par with the planned short life that is prevalent in these kinds of products these days. Additionally, I don’t see anything that forms a good seal against moisture intrusion where the wires enter the battery compartment. It’s probably OK as long as you hang the battery compartment from its hook with the wires coming out at the bottom, but it looks like it could be a problem if you let it hang upside down. After one set died from water getting in, I covered the holes with Sugru to seal them better and to provide some strain relief on the fragile wires. (Unfortunately, it didn’t prevent water intrusion; see update up top). The colors are good, with a true red vs pink that you see on many “Christmas” lights nowadays, and a decent assortment of modes (despite the substitution of 2 additional, hideous “flashing” modes in place of what should have been Slo Glo), including a pastel color scheme that is nice in the early days leading up to Christmas if you like to start decorating early without being too in-your-face about it. The controller has a memory feature not mentioned in the instructions: to save the current setting and power off before the timed shut-off, you long-press the controller button. The next time you power on, it will remember the last mode and reset the automatic 6 hour timer. The remote adds an 8-hour timer and dimming options, although they already run so dim, dimming further is not very useful. The unlighted lead is very short: only about half a meter long. I’m used to them having at least a meter, and sometimes 2m. I like that the lights come in a heavy, reusable ziploc bag instead of a box, which is much better for storage. This seems to be spreading as industry norm. I wish that the hanger hook would swivel, so that you could remove the cover more easily without having to unhook the battery compartment to avoid twisting and damaging those very thin wires. I’m also skeptical that there is any protection against water intrusion where the wires enter the battery compartment, so make sure that you keep the bottom facing downward or else consider adding a blob of silicone sealant, hot glue, or some Sugru over the hole. (Update: water got in anyway and killed two sets, even after sealing the holes better and always keeping the battery compartments oriented upright.) Plan on swapping the batteries out very frequently if you are using NiMH rechargeables. Instead of growing noticeably dimmer when the batteries run low, they just cut out. It’s annoying because unlike other LED strings I have used, there’s no warning that it’s getting low. It could be because white and blue lights consume more power than other colors. Maybe I got spoiled by my orange and purple Halloween lights that could go for 5 nights on a set of 2400 mAh batteries. On the warm white setting, these only went 3 nights.
