I used to work in a high end audio visual store and am a high fidelity geek. Lot of experience with this type of stuff. I added a 55" TV to my home office and didn't want to deal with the Rocketfish mount from Best Buy so I tried the Echo Gear out. I was extremely impressed. Let me tell you why. 1. Attached a JBL 500 Soundbar to my 65inch vizio. This mounted easy to my tv. Good stability with the soundbar in place. It was cheap yet efficient so worth the purchase, good value. It's pretty flexible BUT for my tv and soundbar it was a TIGHT fit. had all the hardware needed.

    • Sturdy and easy assembly
Needed a bracket to hold my new Bose soundbar under my wall mounted TV. The soundbar came with no mounting instructions for my set up. I found the ECHOGEAR mounting bracket on Amazon and had it the next day! I had an older Bose small soundbar previously mounted, I had removed that and sent the whole system back to Bose and got a $300 credit towards the new soundbar.i did not know they had that program, which is pretty awesome! I didn’t want to remove the TV from the wall which was suggested but I was able to remove the brackets for the old soundbar and install the ECHOGEAR brackets without removing the TV,it will support up to 15 lbs, the Bose soundbar is 12 lbs. The ECHOGEAR Package had all kinds of screws, bolts and bracket parts for many different options, great packaging, well thought out and great pricing. Needed another set of hands to actually attach the soundbar but pretty simple as it should be. Very happy with my purchase. ... show more

    • This is great - but not as great if your soundbar uses keyhole-type mounts…
A keyhole mount is non-threaded - instead, the soundbar hangs from whatever you’re hanging it from like a picture on the wall. Though this product has the usual Echogear quality (amazing) and documentation (perfect), it is really meant for soundbars that use threaded mounting screws. If your soundbar uses non-threaded keyhole mounts, the included wing nut and screw attachments are really shaky and not sturdy at all - they’ve got nothing to really grab onto in this kind of soundbar. Echogear tech support suggested I add some spacers, but that didn’t work. Luckily, there’s an alternative: this mount also works like a tray, with brackets that adjust and extend to the width of your soundbar. I was able to get a much more stable mount on my soundbar this way (after abandoning the keyhole approach.) I don’t think EchoGear’s keyhole mounting method comes anywhere near the quality and level of thought I’ve seen in every other product they make that I own (one wall soundbar mount, four TV screen mounts.) For reference, the soundbar I’m using is a TCL S55H, a budget model that is recommended by Wirecutter. ... show more

    • Kind of difficult
If you want a sound bar mount get the one that goes directly down rather than trying to play with the angles with this one, it’s an easy install just tedious. But if you have a heavy sound bar eventually your mount will give since the bolts don’t tighten enough and the angle you initially put will straighten out and mess up the measurement, so in a sense it will collapse. It says 15 pounds is its max so keep that in mind ... show more
