Everyone should have an echo show eight the screen is big enough to see easily. You can look up recipes watch movies listen to music. You can do all just about anything with it. I have three one at work one in the bedroom and one in the living room next to the kitchen, I look up recipes with it all the time I use it every day. They are great and I would recommend them to anybody thinking about buying one.

Beware the free light bulb is like a dealer giving you your 1st hit free. I know have 3 Echo's and about 25 bulbs and 10 plugs. Yep fell down that rabbit hole. Also bought some for my kids so I can facetime with my kids without tying up there phones. And they love the effects. I can play music and the 4 fan bulbs will dance to the music for Christmas its red and green. Just a lot of fun.

I use echo show in every bedroom as it provides a communication system between the rooms. I know you can use your phone, but the echo show does a lot more by voice. I like the compatibility with the Ring system at front door and other Alexa devices. I have purchased previous generation echo 8 devices, and the maneuvering of the screen is not as intuitive for me, and it requires multiple steps to click on selections. There might be a setting I have t found yet, since I just received it. However, it has a lot of entertainment apps, which I don’t use, but it does have that option for anyone wanting to watch Netflix or Prime, and the picture quality is great. The voice control on this generation seems much better than previous echo 8, since last generation would often require multiple requests to get Alexa to perform simple tasks. Speaker sounds much clearer as well. I would recommend the stand as it adds to the viewing experience, especially when in bed and looking at the clock or weather info. The pricing is a great value, especially during the Prime sales, and isn’t much more than the no video echo devices. You can even sell back or trade-in the previous generation devices to get a better price on new one. The light bulb (multi-color) was part of a bundled offer including an Echo 8 show device that came with an additional product (smart bulb). I purchased the bundle for an Echo 8 that I didn’t have a trade in for, since the bundle wasn’t an option when you want to trade in an Echo 8 device. It wasn’t a good deal, and the light does offer a lot of color options. I probably would never purchase a smart bulb for color changes on its own, but it does work very well for anyone wanting the ability to change colors in a room. It also has other timing options in the setup as well.

Great sound and like the visual interface. Reminders show on screen in case I didn't hearthem and I can watch things ans see lyrics of songs playing displayed like karaoke. Really glad I got this. I have 5 other Echo devices but this is two levels better!

I’ve only had this a few days but I think it’s great. Easy setup. Got the bundle with the smart bulb and it works great. The new Tapo app linked up perfectly with the TPLink Kasa app and found I like this app better. Very happy with this purchase
