What can I say, the boots are labeled and sold to be water proof. After wearing these boots on several walks I encountered a modest rain fall. After only a few minuets the tops of my feet were getting wet and at first thought I was mistaken. When I arrived home and pulled them off discovered my socks were indeed wet and so was the inside toe area. The material used for the tung is not water proof and allowed water to wick right through. I don't know what would have happened if I had been on a long hike and submersed the toe of the boot in 2 or 3 inches of water. I love them for dry hikes but I live in western Washington so I will try to use an over the counter water proofing.

I've worn ECCO boots for about 20 yrs. Never even considered other boots after my first pair. This is the 1st pair of eccos that has made me rethink that. Gone is most of the double stitching and fine craftsmanship. These are mostly glued together. Gone is the feeling of walking on air. They have the feel of a much cheaper boot, which makes me wonder why I should continue to pay the ecco prices. Their boots usually last me a good 3 yrs. I don't expect these to make it near that far. Their boot selection isn't very good anymore either. Overall, I'm disappointed and my next pair of work boots will probably not be eccos.

ECCO boots fit true to size. Took about a half hour to break in and light and comfortable for a long day in the woods. A great upland boot.

ecco retro hicking boots sold on amazon were as ordered and the size true and proper. very well made hicking boot coco brown yak leather, and awsome construction. very happy and impressed with the comfortable feel these boots give the owner. they do not feel heavy or cumbersom, and look quite nice. ankel and heel support is top notch. i found these on amazon for $130 and locally for $190, well done amazonand shipping was fast , got them 2 days before christmas!
