I was initially skeptical that this would work as good as a plugged in version. It appears to work just as fast to me and doesn't have a cord to get in the way. It fits Milwaukee type M18 batteries. No battery is included. The one in my last photo is a generic version. There is a bit of slop in the battery connection. I can't tell if that's due to the battery or the tool, but it's not enough to matter on this type of tool. I like it, and I am glad I got it. ... show more

Good product. There is always an upcharge when getting these cordless ones compared to the cheaper versions that are usb chargeable or corded. Do not like how it costs so much and does not even come with a power source. I do not believe the product is worth full price without a power source since there are many models that do not need an additional power source that are much cheaper. I do not see enough reason to get this product over others. This product does work though. Heats up at a good pace and applies the staples well. I ordered this to try out via the Vine program because our kids have multiple Power Wheels ride on toys. Over the years, they have cracked / broken some of the plastics around them and they were looking rough. So after a quick "Youtube University" classes, I attempted to fix my kids toys with this. I have to say that it worked great and the kit coming with multiple sizes of the staples was very nice as I had some places that were smaller and some in the thicker bigger plastic. The tool heats up pretty fast (if you use a higher output battery. I used one of my XC 6.0 batteries with it) and was able to melt the staple down where I needed it within seconds. The welding gun feels very close to other "red brand" tools that I have and it's very light weight as well. I used this outside so the little LED light didn't help me much but it's nice to know it's there if I were to need it. Overall, it's very easy to use / get to work with it and I'm glad it came with a lot of staple and sizes in the kit. I don't do bodywork as my career but I could see this being extremely useful if I did. I was just happy to use it on my kids "practice cars" so they looked nice again. ... show more

I got this because it is portable and fits my Milwaukee batteries. I have used it at home already for a fender repair and it works great. It heats up quickly and gets super hot. I have a case already that fits it and will come along on trips to the ATV park for repairs on the go. My batteries fit perfectly on it and slide right on with no problems. While I understand most tools that require a lithium battery usually don't come with a battery, the product imaging and description for this welder seems purposely deceptive. I can't rate on the quality or functionality of the welder as I need to now purchase the battery and charger first. I will remark that the price point for just the welder is rather high compared to to other welders in the same class.
