Our American Bulldog "Katie" loves to chase spots of light and this is a fun toy for her. Any cat that loves to chase spots will love it too. She loves her new toy and asks for it after supper every night. It's just as much fun for us. When old "Spot" no longer worked, we bought this one for about $7.00. It has a red spot and four shapes that you can change with a button. Butterfly, Star, Smiley face, mouse. At night you can switch to white light and use it like a pen light. Also, the blue light supposedly detects counterfeit bills. Not sure how that works. Don't worry about battery life. We've been using it about a week and so far it hasn't needed a charge, and we didn't charge it before using it. Plug it into a regular USB port to charge in a couple of hours. To be honest, I was over constantly buying new lasers. The replacement batteries cost more than a new laser. My goal was to find one that didn't require new batteries OR replacement. This genious laser charges, has a long battery life in between charging, and outperforms with the strength of light power. I'm not paid for this review. I'm just a regular person wanting to help others decide if it's worth it or not. IT IS!!! To charge, I simply pull off the silver "cap" and plug it in to my phone's charging box (the power box that plugs into an outlet). It's USB. SAVE your money and buy this!
