Amazing results and pratically no smell!!

My oven was soooo gross and I was always just so scared to clean it because I knew how harsh and dangerous some oven cleaners can be... I just didn't know how to tackle it! However I found this product on Amazon and started reading the reviews and how easy and non-toxic it was so I decided to buy it and build up the courage to take on this dreaded household task and in one Saturday night (real exciting Saturday night, I know) I cleaned my oven in just a couple hours! First thing I did was wrap the heating element on the bottom of the oven in aluminum foil so the cleaner did not get on it then I sprayed the product all over the oven with a nice hefty coating and set my timer for 2 hours. The oven was cold (very important) and I just closed the door and walked away. Two hours later I took a damp rag and started wiping all the gross GUNK away. The amount of gross tar-like gunk that came off was really concerning that I was actually cooking in this oven but man was it impressive!!! while the rag was not even remotely salvageable after the process I WAS BLOWN AWAY HOW CLEAN IT BECAME WITH JUST ONE COAT OF PRODUCT! While certain areas may need a second application, the difference was drastic! Once I got the initially gunk off and threw away the gross nasty rag I used another rag and hot water and went over the oven again just to make sure I got all the product off. I felt that this was important to do. Once that was done I left the oven door cracked open overnight to air out and surprisingly NO SMELL! However the next day I did run my oven for about 30min at about 375 degrees just to make sure there was nothing left before I started cooking in it and this part did have a slight smell but nothing that a slightly cracked window couldn't fix. I was glad I did this step too and a couple hours later I cooked dinner in there and didn't smell anything again and the food tasted fine and I'm still alive to tell the tale. highly recommended. ... show more

The EASY way to clean a shower and/or oven

Cleans the shower EASY, spray and let it sit for 10 minutes, rub it around with a magic eraser or microfiber cloth and then rinse. Notice I said rub. There is no scrubbing required with this, none. If you have a filthy tub or shower, you can leave it for a few hours or overnight and clean it off the next day. This will remove the wax like substance you get from a mixture of hard water minerals, bar soap, skin/dirt residue...... Don't mix this with other cleaners, EVER. It is satisfying to see how your "looks kinda clean but a bit dull/hazy" shower will look and shine like new with a few gentle swipes as you watch the dirty water dribble down the wall. For the oven, this is the easiest way to clean it. WHY would people turn the oven on for 12+ hours to "self clean" it?? Living in the south, I can assure you that would NEVER happen in my home. It is hot enough with the oven off. Spray a light coating in the oven everywhere and close the door. Next day wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. This works great for oven racks too. If you only need to clean the racks, put them in a bag first. You can just spray it inside the bag (both sides) and close it up for a few hours. Rinse the rack with a hose outside. Or you can just put the racks in the shower and clean everything at the same time if you have a shower hose/wand...... LOVE this stuff, low to no odor. ... show more

Not as happy with product this time but it does work

I’ve used this blue can Easy Off with stellar results in the past. Not recently though. It did work but the magic was missing and it took more work. This can and this time I to clean up the air fryer oven and some baking pans. I followed directions and used the product on cold surfaces this time. Last time I heared the surfaces despite instructions. Last can and with the heated surfaces I was thrilled with results! With this can everything came clean eventually but it took repeated attempts and more scrubbing. What made the difference? Was my first application on a warm to hot oven and sheet pan the reason everything came cleaner quicker? Has the maker’s “recipe” changed? Could it be a mixture of both? I don’t know, do you? One thing is for sure. Next time, I’ll apply this good product on a nearly hot oven again and hope for the same magic as occurred with my first can. Tips: This stuff can be successfully used on outdoor grills, bbq utensils, cruddy cooking sheets and bottoms of pots and pans, Do not use on aluminum though if you want pretty as well as clean aluminum. I don’t care what my aluminum cookie sheets look like as long as they are clean with all the baked on brown and blackness gone. That look may imply I’m a better cook? But I know it’s just baked on crud that didn’t get cleaned well during wash up. I’ve a hunch EO could work well as a rust remover and cleaner on hand tools in the shop and garage as well. Experience teaches its best to remember to clean the rust and crud off the took by using 3n1 oil or a good equivalent to clean and lubricate your tools. The oil helps make the tools work better and the combo makes them almost new looking while retarding rust. You do you but WD-40 imo is not a good substitute for 3n1 oil. WD40 has hundreds of uses but it’s utility is short lived in this arena. Worth overstating: EasyOff can make lighter color aluminum look splotchy and remove special coatings if the newer Easy Off is formulated as it was decades ago in my youthier days. The BEST oven cleaner!!!

2/2022 update: I've used this twice on my oven and it's really great. The only place I had a problem was the glass so I brought out the magic sponge cleaner and that got all the rest of the junk off the glass. This stuff is so easy to use. And even better than all the home remedies that I tried, and I tried them all. I really wanted to find something more natural with less chemicals but none of them worked on my oven. I don't use the oven a lot so it doesn't get really gross. The oven is only about 5-6 years old. It's a self-clean oven but I've read so many horrible stories about people using the self-clean mode once then the oven never worked right after that. Most of these stories were after the warranty ran out. Since I don't want to have deal with that problem I won't use that mode on my oven. In fact, when I bought the oven, I tried to find one without the self -cleaning option but it wasn't offered in the ovens that had the other things I wanted. So, if you need to clean your oven, I swear by this brand. If your oven I'd super dirty it may take two times to get all the baked on gunk out. 2019: I finally got around to cleaning my oven. This stuff is so nice because you don't have to remember to warm up the oven before using. When I knew my house cleaner was coming over, I sprayed the oven. After an hour or so my friend wiped it out and the oven was clean. It didn't take a ton of scrubbing. The stuff was easy to wipe out completely. Not like any of the older oven cleaners. It doesn't smell as strong and it's easy on the hands. I've tried just using baking soda and vinegar but this works better and is easier to clean up. ... show more

Makes your grease disappear faster than Olaf in the sun

Holy crud!!!! So I’ve seen this product advertised multiple times on different lists of ‘products that make your life so much better’ or ‘best things you never knew you needed’ and I always thought pffft it can’t be that amazing. After trying to look through the glass of my oven and realizing that the lovely baked on grease haze was making it almost impossible I figured what the heck...I’ll try out this so called miracle cleaner. There were a few different options on how to use, but all were pretty much the same thing. Spray. Leave it on for some time. Clean with sponge or paper towel and warm water. So I sprayed it prior to going to work and thought ok let’s see how it ends up when I get home. *time lapse of 8 hours give or take* I come home open my oven and it looks the same. I grab a bucket, fill it with warm water, wet get a paper towel and then wipe the glass. THE GREASE PARTED LIKE THE RED SEA! It just wiped right off. No major scrubbing or having to put my back into it. It just wiped off!!! I was amazed!!!! All of the baked on grease which I thought was going to be permanent disappeared like my willpower around cookies. It was truly amazing. Every wipe of the paper towel more grease just gone!!! To be fair, we had accumulated a very thick layer of grease in our oven. Over 10 years. Totally shameful, I know. I tried baking soda and vinegar first. It removed a couple layers. I finally decided to bite the bullet and go for caustic chemical intervention. Enter Easy Off. It didn’t smell as bad as it could have but you can’t miss the chemical smell. I followed directions. I tried it twice. For the sheer amount of gunk it cut through, it did well. Did it leave me with a spotless oven? Not even close. And I spent an hour scrubbing. I’m not going to post a pic in an effort to protect the guilty but let’s just say my reveal pic would more closely resemble most people’s before pic. In case you’re curious, I haven’t waged my final battle yet. I just need to rebuild my motivation. I would bet it will take 3 more treatments. Less if I left it to soak overnight but I don’t want to marinate in that chemical smell all night. And it’s literally 107 outside. Truly. So no open doors or windows to help me out. Great product!!! This went way above and beyond my expectations. I used this on my oven and grill. The picture is from the inside lid of the grill. OVEN: I sprayed the inside of my embarrassingly dirty stove (3 years of roasting vegetables, bacon, chicken...) and let it sit overnight. The next morning it all wiped clean with a gentle wipe with a paper towel. I did literally 0 scrubbing. My oven looked just like the day I bought it. I did rinse it as well as I could, several times with just water trying to get all the chemicals off, which I think I did. I left the door open and let it air dry for a few hours. Then I fired the oven up to burn off any chemical smells before actually baking anything. Definitely an important step, sure smelled like chemicals and I was glad I could open a windy. I apologize for no before and after of the oven, because it was amazing. GRILL: my grill was also in terrible shape. Anytime I was using the dang thing the grill pan was a fire all on its own, I was burning everything to a crisp. So, I pulled out the grill pan, all grates and sprayed the entire thing down. Inside, outside, grates, grill pan. And then I left it all for a few hours in the Oklahoma wind. Not the best idea, everything was sticky when I got back. I sprayed it down with the hose and scrubbed with some steel wool. Dang, the grill came clean too! This stuff did not stop at grease and dirt, though. I’m now missing some of the writing on the knobs of the grill. Next time, I’m going to put the grill pan & grates in a plastic trash bag so the can marinate in the cleaning solution like the oven did.
