I invested in this cleaner after trying a few others on a stove top which was scratched while installing a new hood. The key is to apply it with a dry, scratch-free pad, then polish with a soft cloth. It leaves a beautiful shine and makes the scratches less visible. Spills from cooking after polishing wipe up easily with a wet rag. After the spot dried, use the polishing cloth after to bring back to shine. The coating lasts exeptionally long. Got a new induction stovetop and found it hard to keep clean - every drop of cooking oil or fingerprint would smudge it up and leave greasy streaks everywhere. This product removes all the grease and leaves the cooking surface spotless and glossy. I like that it creates a protective layer which makes cleaning up much easier - I can just wipe it with a damp microfiber cloth and then dry it and it's totally clean. I got some small scratches on the surface from my initial uses of the stove and this product helped polish them - it didn't completely get rid of them which was a disappointment, but I think the more layers I apply it will help reduce their appearance.
