I ordered this cover for my brother's lift chair. I have been using flat full size sheets to cover the chair, which every time he moved would pull them down off the back of the chair to where he was sitting on a wad of material - I was constantly having to reset the cover on his chair. I order the "easy-going recliner chair slipcover" in the medium size or 21-23 inches in Christmas red/green (his favorite). I do recommend taking measurements of your chair and compare them to the measurements of the cover, because I was surprised I needed to order the "medium" size cover since his chair was sold as an oversize (extra large) lift chair. The medium size fit perfectly. The back will stay in position all day/night long. I have not had to reset the cover at the top at all! This cover comes with 4 elastic straps at the four corners of the seat (see pictures). According to the directions it tells you to tie the elastic straps to the hooks at the bottom of the recliner. My brother's chair did not have hooks at the bottom - I guess because it is a lift chair and not just a recliner. So, I have no way to secure the seat using the elastic straps, but that part for us is not that big of a problem. When he gets up from the chair I usually rearrange the arms and straighten the seat and that is it, at least I do not have to reset the entire cover as I did when using the sheets. I bought this couch cover to replace one that I had bought a few years ago at Big Lots that was too small and was always slipping down so I was always having to readjust it. I was looking for a muted greenish blue color and this one is kind of an olive green, so the color is not 100% what I wanted, but it fits the couch great and the 5 cylinder-shaped foam pieces that come with it help it stay tucked in to the seat cushions. I wanted something that I could take on and off easily to wash because my dog likes to sleep on the couch when I'm gone. The elastic straps that hold the back of the cover in place look kind of weird but function really well. I've been wanting to buy a new couch for years but just don't want the hassle or to spend the money, so this $30 cover makes my old couch almost seem like new. Definitely worth buying. ... show more

This is the third of these covers I have purchased. They do a great job protecting my furniture from two cats, two dogs, and a six year old. They wash easily in cold water, and keep their shape. I haven't purchased one yet that fit properly, however. The foam rolls that are intended to help keep the cover in place are pretty worthless, in my opinion. What I have found, however, is that if you are handy with a sewing machine, you can create an additional seam in the middle of the cover, and get a custom fit. Even if you don't like the idea of doing a bit of extra work, if you just want something to keep the pets and kids form messing up the furniture, and intend to risk these away when company comes over, these will work well. ... show more

This is my third purchase of this sofa slipcover. I have 3 cats and a large dog. My cats love to sleep on the back of the couch and my dog loves to rub the front of the couch. The cover does a good job in keeping the couch clean. The cat hair vacuums off it easily. Just throw the cover into the washer and then dryer when it gets dirty. The only reason I've replaced mine twice is the wear and tear from my cats and their nails. The only complaint I have is on my couch the rear of the cover is not long enough to stay in place. I must adjust the cover often to keep the back cushions covered. ... show more

My biggest concern was keeping the couches clean with my dogs and mud. My other concern is that they look fantastic on the display couches, but might look ridiculous on my "long-butt" couches. Will try and add a picture at some point, but long story short they work just fine. Long enough at the corners that the straps easily fit over the back to hold it on, long enough at the arms to look not out of place and still provide some protection, long enough in the front to cover the front of the cushions plus another 2-3 inches. I ordered the couch one and the recliner one. I like the recliner one better bc it has straps that hook onto the inside of the recliner to keep it in place. The couch one doesn’t have straps, it comes with these foam rolls you stuff/tuck down into the crack between the seat cushion and back cushion to keep the cover in place. My puppy dug them out and chewed them- they don’t stay in place that well. Especially inside the arms bc my couch has a recliner handle/pull inside the arm instead of outside so the foam roll doesn’t tuck in very well. Otherwise the covers are nice. I bought the couch cover because we have a cat that started peeing on our leather couch. ( if anyone has a cat you know how devastating it is because it’s impossible to get that smell out of anything they urinate on) I was happy with how the cover fit our extra large couch, but I was extremely excited to see how it protected the couch when our cat peed on it. The cover said it was water resistant, and it was! The pee was puddled on the cover and didn’t soak in at all, so it was easy to clean the pee up and with a cleaner sprayed on afterwards to clean the spot there was no sign or smell of cat pee at all! If anyone has a cat, you know how hard it is to get the urine smell out of anything they pee on. To have a cover that doesn’t soak up the pee, but to have it bead up on top of the cover to allow a paper towel to then soak it up is worth it’s weight in gold! We have a light tan recliner and a new pup. This has saved our chair. I could see using them on all your furniture when you have pets or small children.
