Features

  • CHOSEN BY MOST BEGINNERSEASTROCK tenor trombones were designed to make it easier for beginning students to sound good. Every single instrument is stringently test-played and inspected by an exper, yet are much easier for beginners to play. The standard models are durable, high quality trombones which offer a perfect entry into the world of music.
  • BORE & BELL DIAMETERAs the bore size changes so does the bell design. The shape of the tapered surface, or rate of flare, determines the characteristic sound of the trombone. Slow tapers yield bright tones, while fast tapers produce dark, warm sounds. Smaller bore trombones having bells with slower rates of taper, produce a brighter JAZZ sound. Larger bore trombones, having bells with faster rates of taper, yield darker SYMPHONIC tone qualities.
  • AMAZING MATERIAL & PROCESSUsing professional paint technology, the overall structure looks very beautiful and clear.Under normal use,the paint can last for a long time with careful maintenance.(Product Description for more details).
  • Ligheweight HARD CASEAccidental bumps are fatal to brass instruments, so a solid case is the key. Ligheweight and durable case for protecting and storage. Comfortable handle to take to anywhere you like.
  • Trombone is suitable for students, beginners, professional players, gifts

  • Beginner trombone
Size: Student Color: Lacquer Gold
I waited until we had this for 5 months before writing the review. My son uses this every day of the week, including at school for band. It sounds great, looks great, plays very well. There have been no issues with it. He’s an average size 13yo and it’s the perfect size. Worth the price

Size: Student Color: Lacquer Gold
Es un instrumento my bueno, pero no se si fue por mal manejo pero la parte donde se saca los liquidos es muy frájil, se puede dañar con facilidad.

  • Perfect for a starting musician!
I bought this for my 10 year old as a starting point for the band. It is surprisingly a really good instrument! He hasn’t been able to destroy it and he isn’t very good with keeping it in the case. AND it has survived several drops and is STILL somehow in tact so I am very happy with this purchase.

  • Excellent trombone!
Size: Student Color: Red
I got the red one. I love the horn. I've owned many trombones, 45 at one point. My favorite is an Urbie Green Martin. I've owned 2B's and many other small bore tenors. This horn is not bad at all! The partials line up. The tuning is very good. The slide was smooth out of the box. The finish was flawless. The color is beautiful! Everything functions perfectly. Maybe I got lucky. I don't know if they are all this good. I may order a blue one. The price is insanely low! I think it is way better than a plastic horn, of which I have many. It weighs about what a Yamaha 354 or King 606 student horn weighs. With mouthpiece, those student horns weigh an average of 3.40 lbs. This one weighs 3.48 lbs, so very comparable. I don't know about how long it will last. But it's great for now. By the way, the bell is exactly 7.75" which is in my opinion, perfect for a small tenor. My big complaint is the glue that was used inside the case. It was the worst mess I've ever seen. It took me 3 hours to scrape out all the glue, and basically rebuild the inside of the case. It is cheap, with cloth-covered styrofoam but it fits the horn nicely and is not bad. Most decent cases cost as much as this horn and case together, so you can't get too upset about the case. The outside should have bumpers on the bell end to stand the case up. I may put my own on it. It looks fine now, and I'll see how it holds up. Come on Eastrock, use some better glue next time! Still a great deal though, and I may buy a blue horn next! ... show more

  • Poor quality/ scratched
Size: Student Color: Black
As soon as it arrived I was disappointed. The appearance was poor quality. Although it was quite shiny, upon inspection it was flawed.Areas that were supposed to be black were already rubbed off. Scratched at base of trombone opening. Bent angle on one part. My son is disappointed. I should have just bought a plastic one at this point. I spent $200 on a low quality item ... show more

  • NICE trombone!! - uses LARGE SHANK mouthpieces - UPDATE
Size: Professional Color: Lacquer Gold
Just received. Very impressed with the build. Nice tone - larger bell helps as known. Definitely heavier than the other $150-300 priced student-level trombones. Maybe not best choice for a small person - but you sure get some bang for the buck. Very nice true hard case. Only gripe is that there's room for compartments with a lid but there are none. No big deal, but eliminates toting an extra something. There is a depression next to the tuning slide end, so bit of slide lube and a very small sprayer could go there. Comes with the obligatory white gloves - and they are the best quality, best made and best looking white gloves ever. The mouthpiece looks like a 12C - nicely made - though nickel plated. There even was a two pack of alcohol swabs - ?? Like the kind at your doctor's office for when (you know...urine sample) aheemmmm. Maybe related to the COVIS19 issue(??) Thoughtful of them if so. Summary - if you're looking to step up and pay DOWN - GO FOR IT!! UPDATE - When the student started to use the trombone for the first time, she noticed the two braces on the tuning slide section were dented. She showed it to me asking..."is this the way it's supposed to be?" I was shocked. Apparently, somehow, this trombone was not checked before being shipped. Myself and others who saw the instrument didn't notice either. Not sure if it was the factory or, this trombone was used. Amazon accepted a return and a replacement is due. We'll see how it goes. ... show more

  • Be prepared to work with the slide.
Size: Student Color: Black
OK: looks cool, especially with a gold mouthpiece. Sounds pretty good for the money. But man oh man, the slide is really pretty stiff. I've swabbed it out 3 times so far and lubed it back up, but it still accumulates black junk right at the stocking. I'm contemplating sending it back, but I'm willing to try a few more times. But an ordinary kid would probably be discouraged and want to quit right away. UPDATE: I upgraded to 3 stars after working with the slide. After using a slide brush 3 times, I started using slide cream, then working with it (i.e., play some VanderCook or other exercise), then completely wiping the slide down to remove "black gunk" from the stocking. After doing that several more times, I stopped using the cream (after diminishing returns on the buildup), and I switched to silicone droplets and water spray. Now the slide is working pretty well, although maybe just a little noisy. I expect that with just a little more work, it will be close to perfect. But I can't go above 3 because it took so much work. I can't recommend it for a beginner, unless you're willing to get the slide worked on before the beginner tries it. OBTW, I forgot to mention that the case is really nice. And it comes with a swab for cleaning the inside of the slide. ... show more
