This hockey game is obviously not nearly as nice as a real air hockey table, but it does provide plenty of fun for an affordable price. It is quick and easy to put together: just slide the plastic rails together until they click. Based on the stress marks on the plastic after putting it together once, I could see the plastic cracking quickly if you keep putting it together and taking it apart. Or maybe the plastic pins get a little weaker and don't put so much stress on the plastic. So far, I have just left it together. It fits perfectly on my coffee table. It does look conveniently designed to fit together in a compact size for storage. The battery powered puck for hard surfaces works well enough. It keeps moving when you push it and bounces around nicely. It does tilt and slide against your table when it bounces off the paddles or rails, so I wouldn't use it on a table that scratches easily. The puck is very lightweight and clearly only has a tiny rechargeable battery which doesn't last very long, maybe 10 minutes. The foam puck is like a squeezable stress toy, and it slides well on carpet or a hard surface. It won't keep going like the other puck and comes to a stop pretty quickly. It makes for a less chaotic game. It's still fun, but not as much like actual air hockey. Overall, it's an affordable game that is easy to set up. Don't expect anything like a real hockey table. This didn’t work quite as well as I’d hoped but it was affordable so I can’t complain too much. Personally I didn’t love it though. I’ve gotten a few things from Eastpoint and this has been a little lackluster in comparison. Kids like it though.

    • Fun Portable Air Hockey That's A Little Tedious To Setup

This EastPoint air hockey kits is pretty great able to setup on any table/floor/surface and tear down to a self containing kit with handle. I love that all of the pieces snap together into a radiator looking kit for easy storage when not used and that all of the accessories (pucks, pushers) have a dedicated storage spot in the cage itself. The kit comes with two pushers that are your typical plastic air hockey ones with a soft felt material on the bottom for better gliding. It also comes with two options for pucks, one of which is a completely foam puck used mainly for carpeted surfaces I believe and the other one is a rechargeable air powered puck (the better one in my opinion) that is able to effortlessly glide on smooth surfaces. My only gripe with this puck is that it charges via micro-usb and not usb-c like many of the newer electronics on the market. Luckily it comes bundled with a usb-a to micro-usb cable for charging. The frame pieces of the kit all snap together using plastic tabs and although it's clever and feels very solid when put together I find that the snapping mechanism to be a little tedious/hard to put together. For a kit that is able to be easily put together and torn apart for storage, the way these pieces snap together is a little bit of a bummer. But like I said once put together the frame feels solid. Each end of the frame has a slot for the goal and above the goal is a little score counter which I thought was a really nice touch. Overall this is a simple little air hockey setup that is both portable and can be setup virtually anywhere (as long as your surface is big enough). We have been enjoying playing with this and have just kept it setup for now as assembling/tearing down is cumbersome.     • Annoying to assemble; cheap plastic construction
This is a cool concept, but in practice it just falls a bit short. The biggest annoyance for me is the assembly. The plastic connectors that are used to snap the body together are extremely tight and it's really difficult to get everything together. It's a struggle. And because they are a hard plastic, every time you break it down and reassemble it, it weakens those connections. So while it gets easier to assemble, it starts to get loose and eventually, it will fail. The plastic connectors on mine are already cracking and I've only assembled/disassembled it once. Also, because it's entirely made of plastic it's super lightweight, and if you get into the game you can very easily unintentionally move the board all over the place as you play. It's actually a bit cheap feeling because of the all-plastic construction. Then there's the gameplay. Because it has no bottom it can play anywhere, but, that means you need flat enough place to play it. I think it would have been better if it came with an optional bottom, for when your playing space isn't ideal (like my wooden slat table, or the lawn). All in all it's still a fun game, but has some serious flaws and, frankly, I think it's overpriced for what you get ($34.99 at time of writing). ... show more
