I have been playing for forty years. Owned some great guitars from cort,charvel ,Ibanez and early Kramer. I think the guitar sounds good all the pickup settings are usable. I thought the aluminum frets would be a big deal there very nice but I don't find them extra slippery. My only problem was small intonation setup. The only thing I'm waiting to see is how durable the guitar is over time. It's worth what I paid for it. Four and a half stars. ... show more

I really thought/hoped this would be the one. The Great: Great look, quality finish, amazing fret work, good pick-up tones. The Bad: D string kept going out of tune with tremolo usage, fret buzz was excessive. The OK: I personally would prefer the neck to be thinner, especially near the first 6 frets. The tuning keys had some excessive play, but still usable. First let me say I am not expert luthier, but I've watched a ton of videos on YouTube and have been playing guitar for 40 years, so I'm just OK with adjusting my guitar set up. If the guitar would have stayed in tune, I would have kept it and tried to make it play better. Issues I saw: 1. Locking tuner on D string may have been bad since it appeared to only go out of tune on the one string. 2. Bridge saddles needed adjustment. 3. Neck relief may have needed minor adjusting. 4. Nut may have been cut too low on low E and D strings. It's a bummer this one didn't work out; it was a beautiful looking guitar. ... show more

Just received my second DMX-10 and it is awesome. It was almost perfect right out of the box. I spent about an hour tweaking to my preferences and couldn't be happier with it. If you are in doubt, look up some YouTube videos of this guitar and brand. The necks on these are top notch. I also bought the tele with 2 hum buckets because I liked the super strat one I bought so much. Buy one or two before the crowd catches on and the price goes up.
