  • Designed for the serious gardener with an extra large heavy duty tray bed measuring 24 X 15. The tray is made of a heavy gauge PP material that will allow you to carry heavy pots of maturing plants without the tray buckling or flexing out of shape
  • Has a clear shatter proof lid with two oversized vents which can be opened or closed as needed to control humidity and optimize seed germination and the growth of immature seedlings. The crystal clear lid will not deteriorate under the heat of grow lamps nor reduce the effectiveness of the lamp to seed germination
  • Has a side vented height extension which elevates the lid as the plants being to grow and adds additional capability in adjustment of airflow and humidity present under the dome. The height extension provides 12.75 of depth between the base of the tray and the dome for maturing seedlings
  • Will allow for up to 60 units of 2 X 2 germinating trays and as plants mature up to 6 units of 8 pots safely held in a water proof tray perfect for capturing excess moisture following watering. Description

The EarlyGrow 95446 heavy duty oversized herb and seed propagator is designed for use in the germination of seeds protection of young seedlings in an environment which optimizes conditions for germination and growth. The vented lid and height extensions allow for control of humidity during germination and when closed can preserve moisture and heat improving results. The clear dome will not reduce the effectiveness of grow lights nor degrade under UV light. The lid and height extension can be used outdoors for direct sewn seeds during the early and late season protecting the seeds and young seedlings from cold or inclement weather. It is easy to add additional height extensions to permit plants to mature both indoor or outdoors in a sheltered environment. The height extensions can be easily assembled and disassembled using the provided hardware for compact storage when not in use. Non toxic, the 95446 is a friend to organic gardeners. This set includes 8 security clips, which lock the sides to the lid, allowing the user to lift off the top all in one piece. The clips make the propagator much more stable to move around.

    • A Bit Pricey But Well Worth the Money - Well Made and Easy to Assemble

I had debated about buying one of these for some time. I tried a few home grown setups using various clear plastic totes and containers with mixed results. After struggling with these setups I finally decided to get a nice unit made for the purpose. I needed one about this size (LxW) and I had not thought about one with sections to change the height, but that works out real well so I am glad I chose this model. The base is very strong so you can moved it around when loaded without it wanting to twist or bend so that is nice - not that you would move it a lot. It was real easy to assemble using the provided plastic nuts and bots and provided tool. I don't know how well they will hold up if you intend to break it down when not in use as it's made to disassemble for storage, but you could easily just replace the plastic hardware with stainless steel. The sections have a nice lip that extends down about a 1/4 in or more so each section is held firmly in place with the one below it. The top section is only an inch or so high so you can remove it easily to mist plants or add water, even if your lights are close to the cabinet. I have it on top of a heat mat too and using the provided vents am able to keep the temp around 80 degrees with no problem. It takes a little tweaking of the vents to get it right and I recommend a hygrometer to monitor the conditions inside. It was a bit pricey, but it's well made and should last a long time and it beats any homemade options I could come up with. If you're serious about starting seeds or clones, this a must have in my mind and this unit is probably one of the best you can get in my opinion. ... show more

The quality is exceptional; design/build/fit is perfect; ability to customize is a huge bonus; excellent transparency; no air leaks! This material is some heavy duty stuf … It doesn't bend AT ALL! The lid and extenders are beautifully clear, and the base is sturdy enough to hold FORTY pounds! The design is the best I’ve ever seen. The lid and extenders sit ON the lip - but the genius here is that it is designed more like an “h” than an “L” which allows all of the condensation to drip back INTO the box. All the pieces fit perfectly with no air leaks. And since there are no air leaks, I believe 100% humidity is achievable just because of how well this is designed. I simply love the ability to customize the height as your plants grow because (depending on what/how you’re growing) some simply need that kind of space. I can already tell this is going to be a game-changer for growing out my aquatic plants! I’ll be able to use this to convert my plants to their terrestrial form so I have “mother” plants all around the house for whenever I need some plants in a new aquarium. *** NOTE TO COMPANY: The *only* thing that could possibly be an improvement is to have a couple of GOOD grow-light strips mounted in/on the lid. I had no problems at all with condition at delivery or assembly. Assembly was very simple and straight forward; an eight year old would have no problem. Fit of every piece is perfect. Seems to be very sturdy and I expect it will last for years. It is perfect for those larger cuttings or seedlings and it is tall enough to act as a hospital or holding cell for small plants. Also it looks nice enough to act as a terrarium. I will probably get another. I do wish Amazon would make it easier to get another sidewall extension as I could see situations where I might want it even taller, but it is certainly tall enough for general cutting and seedling work. ... show more

A bit pricey, but definitely worth the money! The propagator dome and the bottom tray are made out of really sturdy plastic (i.e. I’d have to drop this pretty hard to make a crack). It’s excellent at trapping humidity with two sliding vents on each side extenders for airflow, while not hindering light sources from entering. There’s plenty of room inside for a plethora of plants, allowing two 16 XL seed starting trays and a 10 x 20” heating mat on the tray floor (you’d have to get creative with this because there’s no means of running cables in and out of the propagator). My seedlings growth boomed because of this! I opted for the three tier that comes with the locking clips set. The reviewers who advised using binder clips instead of the ones that come with this dome were absolutely right. Dollar store binder clips secures the tray and extenders a lot better compared to these ones that hardly clamp down, and easily pops them off at the slightest nudge. Perfect for fresh cuttings all the way to young plants. I have 3 of these and threw out all my cheap domes/trays. Works for seep propagation, clone rooting, small plants, isolating new plants before introducing to your other plants, stack the walls and use for an IPM spraying area. So many uses!
