  • Second Chance at an Honest Review | First Part is from the First Pair
Color: Black
(First half is from my original review; please look for the update below) I got these earbuds at the end of October 2025. In little over six months of use, I would say that these were a very good upgrade to my normal Air Pro 3. The sound quality and noise cancellation were a huge leap in performance. I also enjoyed the design of the case and the fit in my ears. However, the one thing I really don't like is how I believe I had a defective pair or this model aren't made to last. Three months into owning these buds, the left earbud was showing problems. After charging both buds to 100 percent, the left earbud would drain considerably faster than the right earbud, dropping 15-20 percent in a matter of minutes. I would find a "work-around" (really, a compromise) to put the earbud back into the case by itself and let it charge for about 10 minutes, to which both earbuds would be draining relatively at the same rate; this was the best situation, however, since most of the time it would just drain fast all over again. This is a compromise I would have considered dealing with for the long haul because I really like these buds but now, marking a little over the sixth month owning these, the left earbud has refused to charge over 75 percent and would still drain 15-20 percent in a matter of a few minutes. On my top of the degragating batter problem, the earbud is also overheating to the point where it's uncomfortable to put in my ear. I'm not sure if I have a bad unit or if this is a problem with each Air Pro 4+, I could not confidently recommend these earbuds to anyone. _____________________________________ Update: First, I want to give props to their help department. During my time of my initial review, I reached out to their help daprtment and they were very helpful and accommodating. They spent a few days to help me troubleshoot any problems I may have had but unfortunately, it turns out that I have a bad unit and there was no way to salvage my defective earbud. That being said, they were extremely generous with giving me a new pair. Thank you, Earfun! Now with my review. I got my new pair a little more than a month ago and I intentionally waited that long before updating my post here because I wanted to make sure that the new pair didn't go through the same defect as my first pair. That being said, I want to say that these are the best earbuds I've ever owned. I've owned three other pair (Earfun Air 1, Free 2, and the Air Pro 3) and each version was an experience felt better than the next. First, I want to acknowledge the sound. I'm not an audiophile by any means but I really appreciate the free range to tailor your sound profile with the equalizer on the app. It's very customizable while also being user friendly with the preset profiles made by Earfun, the profiles made submitted by users (currently two), and the adaptive ear test to get a personal profile based on your hearing. There's also so much more clarity compared to any other earbud I've had; the dual driver system really works well, letting the 10 mm dynamic driver work the lows and highs while the ultra-light FeatherBA™ armature covers the mids really works to get a fuller sound without muddying the sound when I lean towards a more base heavy sound profile. Second, I want to talk about the sound cancellation and ambient noise modes. I too find that these are the best active noise cancelling earbuds I've owned but that also I because the eartips fit well, improving on the passive noise cancelling. The only other noise cancelling earbuds I've owned are the EarFun Pro 3 and the Anker Liberty Buds but they don't really come close to these. I have tried Airpod Pro 3s before and those were better but for the price of the Pro 4+ I'd say that you can't beat the value since these are literally a fraction of the cost. The ambient sound mode is also very good too. Not as good as wearing open ear earclips like my SoundPeats Clip 1s but they are also these are also the in-ear earbuds I've owned to have this feature. Last, I just wanted but I touch on the other features. The sound quality and listening modes are my top priority when looking for earbuds but I'm glad to say that these also have the most features of any earbuds I've owned. I enjoy the fact that I have full touch controls with the single, double, triple, and hold taps. The UI of the the app is clean and efficient. I like the fact that there is a language translation application and Auracast function but I have yet to use but I look forward to using them when I will get the chance. I appreciate the free will to change Bluetooth quality; I personally keep have all of the AptX codecs on but it's nice to know that I can use AAC for a more stable connection especially for older devices, or turn LDAC for an even better sound experience. I also like the dual connection device connection very much as well as the capability to switch the audio input from the app itself; it's a headache from the other earbuds with the same function but the experience of transitioning from audio and one device to another was finicky at best. And last like games and movies so I have a high appreciation for the low latency/gaming mode which basically eliminates audio lag from the visuals. I could go on and on about how I've really enjoyed these earbuds but ultimately, I'm really glad that Earfun was able and willing to replace my first pair, and giving me the chance to give the Pro 4+ an honest review. Thank you once again, Earfun! I look forward to your next projects/products! ... show more

  • Great fit, great SQ, worth the upgrade. Great fit, great SQ, worth the upgrade.
Color: Black
This isn't the first set of earbuds I've purchased from Earfun before. After my previous Samsung Buds 2 Pros were lost/stolen, I went looking for an alternative that had similar features. My Buds were great, but didn't offer multiple ear adapters without having to purchase them separately, and they didn't tend to stay in my ears as well as I would have liked. I purchased Earfun Pro 4s a couple of months ago, and had a great experience with them, even when I had a small issue of one battery discharging faster than the other. Not only did they make it right, they extended an offer to me to upgrade to the 4+ models. I messaged them and asked if for their promotion if I could purchase the black instead of the white model they had offered, and they replied stating that was totally fine with them. There's a few features over the previous Air Pro 4s - like the AI integrated translation service. My family attends church when we visit family in another state that is primarily Greek. The build-in translator does a great job of applying the english text very quickly to my device screen! They also enhance the fit of the buds by making them a little less "round" in physical shape for your ear as well as moving the microphone from the top to the front side and I find I don't have as much issue with debris getting caught in it as I work on projects around my house or in my garage. The driver face is larger than the previous 4s and it is definiately noticeable when using. My normal volume after setting up my custom EQ profile is less than 1/4 volume on my phone over the previous version. They also added a status button to the new case design giving you the ability to see the battery status of the case without having put your buds in it and close it to check. They're very comfortable, and when I didn't think the ANC could get betterfrom the previous verion, somehow they did! I do wish that they were slightly easier to remove from the case. It's not enough to take away from an awesome experience of use, but the new case design opens from the front instead of the top, so they are just a little harder to grab over the Air Pro 4s if your fingers or thumb are a little larger like mine. If you have the previous versions, there is a design change in the silicone covers that you can change out and I've included pictures of the differences between the two models, so you make sure you don't try and swap between them if you have both. All in all, Great customer support, great listening experience, and fantastic UI build with AI integration for translation! ... show more

  • Overall incredible for the price!
Color: Black
Overall great for the price! A few quick thoughts on use after about 3 months: Sounds is great, hard to believe the quality for the price, with good separation, tight and effective bass ANC is very middling - will partially block things like fan noise etc but compared to higher end ANC it's not every effective but it's more than nothing Fit is very comfortable Has BROAD range of available codecs including the newer/better ones like LDAC, aptX adaptive, LE audio for Pixel devices Connectivity is mixed - when paired typically keeps strong connection but do not pair as fast as other devices and seems to almost "forget" how it paired previously. Overall for the price it's hard to imagine something better, so easy 4/5 stars. If pairing was a bit less problematic would be an easy 5/5. ... show more

  • An improvement over an already excellent product
Color: White
After using the EarFun Air Pro 4 for over a year and thoroughly enjoying it — and having recently shared my review — I was naturally curious about the new EarFun Air Pro 4+ and what improvements EarFun might have introduced. I have been using the Air Pro 4+ for several days now and would like to share my candid impressions. I am an electrical engineer working in IT, and I value fair assessments based on real-world use. My feedback is based on direct comparison between the Air Pro 4+ and the Air Pro 4. For clarity, I’ve organized this review by category. 1. Design and Comfort (Mine is white.) The new case design feels like a clear upgrade over the Air Pro 4 — more elegant, though slightly larger. The white finish has a pearl-like tone that looks refined and premium. Despite the modest increase in size, the case remains compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry in a pocket. The earbuds themselves are very light and stay securely in place — unlike Apple’s, which tend to fall out easily. Comfort remains excellent. As with the Air Pro 4, I can wear them while lying on my side without discomfort or pressure. The ear tips fit snugly, provide a good seal, and are available in multiple sizes. Areas for improvement: The case could include an integrated USB charging cable, which would improve convenience when traveling. 2. App Functionality (Android) The app is the same solid, well-designed platform used with the Air Pro 4, offering extensive customization for controls, sound, and other settings. For the Air Pro 4+, however, it introduces additional features, including: Manual adjustment of noise-canceling levels Expanded equalizer options And most notably, AI Translation Highlights include: The “Find Headphones” feature — which has saved me multiple times The Bluetooth Audio Quality setting — something even many higher-priced competitors do not offer The new AI Translation feature, which supports both face-to-face (two-way) translation and real-time one-way translation across multiple languages. I tested it and found it to be surprisingly accurate — simply amazing. Areas for improvement: While the equalizer offers many presets, most result in minimal audible change or feel unbalanced. A more refined or customizable EQ would significantly enhance the experience. 3. Product Functionality Like the Air Pro 4, the Air Pro 4+ delivers simple, reliable, and intuitive functionality. Fully customizable touch controls make daily use effortless Battery alerts provide ample warning before depletion The app clearly displays battery levels for both earbuds and the case Pairing is quick and seamless on both Android and iOS Bluetooth range and stability have noticeably improved compared to the Air Pro 4 Areas for improvement: Battery life has improved over the Air Pro 4 but still falls slightly short of expectations. With low volume, ANC enabled, LDAC disabled, and the source device about 2 feet away (often during sleep), I typically get around 5.5–6 hours of use. 4. Audio Quality This is where the EarFun Air Pro 4+ truly shines. Sound quality is slightly better than the already excellent Air Pro 4 and comfortably rivals products costing significantly more. Bass is deep, tight, and more pronounced than on the Air Pro 4 Treble is crisp without being harsh Mids are clear, natural, and well balanced The result is a rich, immersive listening experience, enhanced by effective noise cancellation and a secure ear tip seal. I often notice subtle details and instruments I hadn’t previously picked up — a testament to the quality of the tuning. Areas for improvement: None. Audio quality is outstanding for the price. 5. Overall Impression Overall, the EarFun Air Pro 4+ offers exceptional value. It improves meaningfully on an already excellent product, particularly in sound quality, connectivity, and app features. Additionally, the 2-year warranty offered with the Air Pro 4+ (after registration) stands out and surpasses most competitors in this category. Kudos to the EarFun team for delivering another well-balanced, high-performing product at a very fair price. I look forward to seeing how future versions continue to evolve. ... show more

  • Best earbuds from EarFun to date. Best earbuds from EarFun to date.
Color: Black
What I like: Strong ANC Bluetooth 6.0 Comfortable fit Great case Wear detection Dual drivers QI wireless charging App What I don’t like: Default sound signature isn’t great First impressions: The overall packaging looks great on the front of the box you will see a pic of the earbuds themselves, the EarFun logo on the top left corner with premium sound and EarFun Air Pro 4+ on the lower left corner and when you open the box you will find the earbuds themselves which are a stem style earbud that are inside of the case. The case I feel is one of the best designed cases I have ever seen from EarFun. It is a wireless charging case that is made out of a rubberized plastic that has a black matte finish so it doesn’t pick up fingerprints with the EarFun logo in the middle that opens to reveal the earbuds themselves. On the bottom of the case you will find a usb c port with a reset button on the right side of the port. The case is also wireless charging. The earbuds themselves look amazing they have a matte finish on them with the multifunction touch controls on the top and mics on the bottom and sides of the earbuds. App: The EarFun app never disappoints when you first pair the earbuds to your phone the picture of the earbuds in the case will display on the app requesting to pair on the app. The app has lots of features including your ANC settings, EQ settings, Game mode, in ear detection settings as well as customizing your controls, resetting the buds as well as firmware updates. Speaking of firmware updates you will be prompted to update the earbuds to the latest firmware which during the time of this review is 1.1.8. ANC: EarFun has given us more options with adjusting your active noise cancellation with these buds which is AI Ear Adaptive Noise Cancellation, AI Ear Adaptive Noise Cancellation, Manual Adjustment Active Noise Cancellation and, Wind Noise Cancellation options. I found the active noise cancellation on the earbuds to be very good in canceling a lot of outdoor noise when these were in your ears. I also found the Ambient sound feature on these buds to be very good as well, everything sounded natural on this feature. Fitment/Comfort: I found these earbuds to be very comfortable out of the box, I never experienced any kind of ear fatigue when using these earbuds. Controls: EarFuns default controls are the same as they have been on a lot of their earbuds. (Double tap on the right earbud pauses and plays your music, a single tap on the left earbud lowers your volume and a single tap on the right earbud increases your volume level, a triple tap on the left earbud is previous track and a triple tap on the right earbud skips to the next track. Press and hold on either earbud toggles through ANC, Ambient and, normal active noise cancellation modes and if you press and hold on the left earbud turns on/off gaming mode. I found the touch controls to be very responsive and didn’t experience any issues. Sound: By default the EarFun signature sound isn’t very great. There was a lack of clarity and lacked any definition. Luckily these buds have an EQ feature on the app so after some tweaking I was able to adjust the EQ (see pic.) After adjusting the eq I found the earbuds that have amazing clarity with great mids, lows and, highs. The dual drivers are a major improvement compared to previous earbuds that have been released by EarFun. Another feature I was surprised to find on these earbuds was wear detection. I am so glad that EarFun brought back this feature. Everytime you take an earbud out of your ear, your music automatically pauses. Overall I found that Earfun has done it again by releasing some stellar earbuds. I believe these are the best earbuds Earfun has released to date, they are comfortable, have excellent strong active noise cancellation features and feel very premium. ... show more

  • Dual Connectivity Works and everything is intuitive
Color: Blue
Dual Connectivity just works. I paired my watch and phone. And they switch back and forth seamlessly. I tried another brand with this feature and it was not smooth at all and consistently lost connection. Sound - Great. These offer nice bass and everything comes through clearly. Noise Canceling - Very good. Haven't been on an airplane yet, but I have used this outdoors and in the gym and it's quiet. Fit - comes with multiple earbuds. I actually prefer earphones without the tail because you can't take off a shirt w/o knocking them off, but they stay in during all types of workouts so far. Case - these days the case matters. These have a magnet on the inside that forces you to put the buds on the correct side and prevents them from falling out. Pretty cool. Oh, and I didn't realize this was an issue until the last earphones I bought and returned, but just getting them out of the case is easy. Useability - I am still learning the button combinations since the last brand I used was different. But it is responsive and the voice/sounds let you know that things are working as expected. ... show more

  • Sound quality is good but not quite worth the price
Color: Black
The sound quality is good but everything else is pretty meh, I wouldn't say it's worth the price. The earbuds don't stay in your ears very well due to the shape. It's fine for normal things but if you do any jogging or if you lay down or do just about anything else they start to fall out. The nose cancellation is pretty good but there's some sort of weird bug with them where nose cancellation keeps cutting in an out. It doesn't switch modes, it's just inconsistent. The battery life is pretty good, no complaints there. The gaming mode doesn't really seem to make much of a difference. The case is a little bulkier than other earbuds I've used to that's a small negative. Overall if you really want high sound quality it's worth considering since that's one of is big selling points but sincea lot of videos, music, and other things don't deliver that high of audio quality it doesn't really matter. I kind of regret getting these over my old ones at half the price but some things you don't notice till it's too late ... show more

Color: Black
Honestly great for its price point. I've been using mines for more than a month and they worked as intended for the most part. Never had an issue with connectivity and it's quality was great. Battery life is good though the case would need to recharged a lot of the times. Noise cancellation is weird... I work in lawn service and use these earbuds and it quiets down all kinds of machines though sometimes it's AI environment confuses itself and tones down the ANC. I have noticed that the right earbud is a bit messed up with the noise cancelling and crackles a lot unfortunately I lost my warranty for it. Sound quality wise it's great for highs and mids but lows just crackle for some songs though the EQ isn't super to help reduce the crackling. Overall it's great but I just don't like the crackling when it's just the ANC. ... show more
