The EarCentric EasyCharge Rechargeable Hearing Aids I received are wonderful. I had tried hearing aids once before and I couldn’t stand them. So much so that even tho my hearing has gradually deteriorated over the years I kept putting off getting a pair. Finally, my grandson convinced me to get another pair. Not by pleading or cajoling me as other friends and family have, but simply that I could see on his face that he wished he wouldn’t have to keep repeating things to me and I hated missing out on what he was telling me about his school day. I went on Amazon and began researching hearing aids that wouldn’t require hearing test and prescriptions and cost an arm and a leg. I found the EarCentric EasyCharge Rechargeable Hearing Aids and saw that they had lots of reviews and that the reviews were quite good. They were also very reasonably priced. There were cheaper hearing aids but knowing that you usually get what you pay for, I ordered the EarCentric ones. I was very excited to receive them and so happy when they were delivered two days later. When I first opened them up, I was a booklet of instructions and also a tutorial on using them and a video. My heart sank at first because I thought, oh my, with all of this they will be quite complicated and hard to learn to use and that maybe I wouldn’t get used to them like the earlier ones I had tried several years back. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I spent ten minutes examining them and looking over the pamphlet and then watched the short online video. My hearing aids were charged in about three hours and I anxiously put the right one in. My right ear is the worst and I thought, well maybe I can get used to just using one. It was easy-peasy to insert and I was instantly hearing better. The next day I put the left one in as well. I’ve been using both everyday since. They work great. It’s easy to adjust the sound for the situation, there is no weird background noise, I have pretty bad tinnitus and they work fine and amplify the external sound over the internal tinnitus. I don’t need the close captioning on my smart TV, and I have the volume much lower (about half) what I had it on before. Sounds, music, speaking, everything is much clearer. I hears sounds like rain and running water that I hadn’t heard in years with crystal clarity. I’m not missing what my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson are saying around the dinner table or asking them to repeat things. I think they are as thrilled as I am. The only negative I’ve noticed and it’s a very small thing, it that if I bring my hand close to my ear or allow my ear to be in close proximity to my leather couch, the hearing aid will give a feedback squeal.     • Improves hearing and is affordable

I have been using these hearing aids for a year and they have improved the quality of my life. They are not perfect. They don't pick up all voices in all circumstances. But they make a difference and allow me to enter into conversations. And they are affordable, meaning I am not terrified of losing them. They are rechargeable. No need to replace expensive and tiny batteries. They are sturdy. They don't break when they fall. And they are big enough not to roll under something or get lost iunder a cushion and be lost forever. In other words, for what they are--- a device to amplify sound and help you hear without costing more than a car used when I was young, I recommend them. ... show more

    • Quality at a fair price

I used "bullet" type hearing/amplifier aids. ($139.00). They do well but, squeal often withe the flexation of my ear canal. Also, their noise cancelation does not work well driving a somewhat noisy 40 foot passenger bus. This product cost twice as much as the aforementioned "bullets". WELL worth it. First off, very comfortable. I thought it might take a few days to a week to get accustomed to my ears. Day one, you almost forget you are wearing them. SOUND quality is go...unless you can't control the excessive loud sounds around you. Turning them to the lowest setting my produce some static type sounds in really loud environments. I believe your ears will eventually compensate, as the instructions state. Overall a very good value compared to the outrageous price of prescribed hearing aids. We each spent several thousand dollars for hearing aids. They had gotten to where they weren’t working so well. My husband wasn’t wearing his and, of course, not hearing! I saw these and got them for him. They are great!!! Worked so well I got some for myself ! Very happy. Hearing much better than I have in a long time. Easy to use. Great sound!
