These aren't going to keep your hands warm when you're dangling from a tree on that late December hunt, but they are perfect for early season through early November. The fingers and thumb peel back so you can surf YouTube and scare off the deer with the light from your phone, or you can tell your mom about the huge buck you just gut-shot. One issue--and I'm not sure there's anything that can be done about it--is that the velcro can scrape along your mask while drawing. For that reason, I keep my draw-hand thumb flap OPEN (i.e., velcro patches mated together, thumb exposed) at all times. Which is cold, but that's better than spooking the deer that FINALLY walked close enough to give you a shot. ... show more

I like lots of feel with my gloves, particularly my release hand. I usually wear "liner" gloves or tight fitting gloves with no insulation and consequently, no warmth. I use a hand muff and lots of hand/body warmers in my muff to keep my hands warm until a buck comes in. These gloves have just a little bit of insulation and IMO a perfect blend of warmth and feel. They are warmer than my typical unlined gloves. Not quite as tight but they still have good "feel" with my hands. I can see, however, that the finger and thumb flips might be an issue if you have long fingers. Also, I'd prefer them to have magnets instead of velcro or a choice to get a left or right-handed set (velcro and flip fingers on one glove only). Like another review I read, the velcro will tear your nose to pieces if you wipe a sniffle and forget about the velcro. I've washed them a couple times and i'm a little concerned about how well the velcro will hold up but so far so good, although they will stick to other clothes if you have to use the dryer. They can stick to certain pocket material too. I have not tried them with my muff yet as it has been unseasonably warm. All-in-all, a better than average product and maybe worth a try at this price but they are far from perfect. I'm giving 4 stars but they are probably a little closer to 3.5. ... show more

I really want to like these gloves; they are warm, comfy, and I like having my trigger finger bare for shooting. However the quality of them are BAD. I'm the sort of person who wishes his hunting clothes on the gentle cycle and hangs them up to dry because let's face it, hunting stuff isn't cheap. We'll, these gloves started falling apart 2 months (7 hunts) after buying. It gets 1 star for the warmth/comfort factor. Edit: bumping the ratingn to 3/5 as cust9mer service offered me a refund. I'd still get them, just be aware of the build quality. ... show more
