  • Sturdy with extra care and great value for the money.
Material Type: PE Film - White/Clear Style: Walk in - Medium 8 by 6
I bought this to keep my carnivorous plants protected from midwestern storms in the summer and provide protection from subfreezing temperatures during winter dormancy. With this being a pop up greenhouse, I was concerned about its ability to stand up to high winds and have yet to test it against torrential rain. However, so far, it has proven to be surprisingly sturdy. At the time of writing this review, I had set up the greenhouse before those strong windstorms and tornadoes battered the midwestern and eastern states. I reinforced the stake and guy line loops with gorilla construction glue, used heavy duty stakes that screw into the ground for the lines, and put large stakes that I bought separately through the holes at the base of the legs. With the stakes that came with it, I used the loops to pin down the skirt. With all that prep, it was considerably more stable than expected and withstood 50-60 mph gusts with sustained winds around 30 mph. This is also a testament to the quality of the cover as there are no noticeable tears. The 6x8 is also a great size as it provides plenty of room for those who keep plants as a hobby and might also work well for growing seedlings year round. It’s tall enough that it’s easy to stand upright and work in, too. At this point, the plan is the further reinforce the seams with glue that’s actually meant for polyethylene and attach thicker guy lines with aluminum tensioners so they don’t slip. I also plan to use garden edging to create a shallow pit around it which I’ll fill with gravel to cover the skirt and floor which should also help with stability. Negatives so far: the cover had a rip about 6-8” long in one of the sewn seams near the door. Given that this was the only defect, I plan to glue it and let it go. Overall, it’s easy to set up but the cover can get caught in the sliding joints which will cause small tears, so make sure everything is properly positioned before expanding the frame. I also read that it is supposed to let 90% of light through but there is a very noticeable shadow inside the greenhouse so I’m skeptical of that claim. We’ll see if it’s enough for my sun-hungry carnivorous plants. Overall, you get what you pay for so I would choose this again over any greenhouse with plastic tubing. However, this logic continues in that you’ll get good stability out of this with care but it won’t be as sturdy as a permanent structure. Key takeaways: Pros: very sturdy and stable with some extra investment and care, tough PE cover, pleasantly surprised at how much room 6x8 actually is, arrived in mostly good condition with no missing pieces. Cons: had a small rip near the door and I’m skeptical about the claim that 90% of light gets through. I’m giving it 5 stars because I’m not sure I could do much better without investing in a more permanent structure. UPDATE: I eventually added stronger guy lines to the reinforced loops and this greenhouse continues to impress. It has withstood two severe storms, torrential rain, and light hail. Take reinforcing this seriously and try placing it in a semi-sheltered location so it’s not getting battered by the worst of the weather, and it will be fine. For example, mine is in the backyard. It’s not fully sheltered and has certainly experienced the abuse I mentioned, but the house and fence have helped shelter it since wind and rain can shift directions. ... show more

  • Good design, good materials, easy to put up.
Material Type: PE Film - Green/Clear Style: Walk in - Medium 8 by 6
Easy to put up, no missing parts, sturdy material, great value. It took 30 minutes to get it completely put together and tied down. We used 9" tent stakes on the sides to give more stability. The cover is thick. Withstood a wind and rain storm the very next day. Good for the price. No complaints.

  • Goes up very easy
Not only does it go up as easily as advertised, it seems quite sturdy as well. We bought this one of a different style because our previous one caught wind and was consequently torn up. We anchored this one with some 'drill in' spiral stakes so I'm fairly confident that won't happen again. We've had some fairly windy days so far and nothing has seemed to rattle my confidence in this structure. ... show more

  • Wind damage
Material Type: PE Film - White/Clear Style: Walk In - Extra Large 10 by 10
Last summer The wind caused bolts to fall out and cover got wear thru places where it was beat against the frame. I put duct tape on inside and outside on those wear areas and it is holding up well so far this summer. The Velcro on side windows should be wider. The window cover no longer comes down far enough to connect with lower Velcro. I put netting connected to frame top pieces for tomatoes to hold onto. Looking forward to a nice crop of them! The frame is well made and easy for one person to open and close. ... show more

Item is exactly as described. Easy to assemble and looks great. Seems to be well made. I have a planter this same exact size and I put it up to keep the deer out.

  • UPDATE- collapsed with less than half inch of snow
Material Type: PE Film - White/Clear Style: Walk In - Extra Large 10 by 10
Reviewing after having for 6 months: We bought this greenhouse to use for our plants in the winter … and it does stay quite warm but it gets really cold in VA so a heater is still needed to keep some plants alive … but it worked great and highly recommend for someone who is using this as a starter geeenhouse … it’s big too! We actually ended up buying a new permanent greenhouse and didn’t know what to do with this one other than using it to cover some of our plants during March/April in case it frosts … It’s gone thru some major thunderstorms too and did not blow away … we used cement blocks to hold down and it worked great. We got a portable hot tub in June 2023 and I wanted to use it during winter so we turned this in to the hot tub tent and it has worked so well at protecting our hot tub from harsh elements… keeping the area warm so we aren’t freezing when we take off our robes … and added some ambience and a tv and it has kept it dry and we love it! Definitely recommend as a greenhouse and hot tub room in winter ha ha UPDATE - 1 year and 4 month - DO NOT BUY IF YOU GET MORE THAN A QUARTER INCH OF SNOW - not for Winter which MAKES NO SENSE because you buy a greenhouse to protect plants from cold weather!!!! I’m so upset … bought this to use during cold weather months … we had the first snow while having this greenhouse … we cleaned it off to make sure there was no weight on it before going to bed … maybe less than a half inch of snow came down after midnight … if that much … probably more a quarter inch … woke up to it collapsed … the frame broke … unbelievable! It wasn’t even a bad storm!!!! My little pop up tent that cost only $50 and way less sturdy than this didn’t even break and we didn’t clean it off at all … but this GREENHOUSE which is supposed to be able to protect plants collapses!!! And we cleaned it off!!! ALL MY PLANTS WERE DESTROYED … this was the first snow we had since we bought it August 2023 … not even 2 years old and a complete mess … not to mech the hundreds of dollars of plants destroyed in it … this greenhouse should NOT HAVE COLLAPSED with the minimal winter weather we received… especially since we cleaned it off already once … That is why I changed my review from 5 stars to 1 star … a greenhouse should be able to withstand a little snow … if it had bed. Like 6 inches … I could understand it collapsing … but it was less than half an inch and WE CLEANED IT OFF!!!! I contacted seller and waiting to hear their response to this … ... show more

Nice for the money. Really needs 2 to assemble but very similiar to a pop up tent. Vinyl is thick and goes together well. Seems sturdy.
