Bought this as it is appeared to be equivalent to eterna bond but a little cheaper. I needed 4 inch wide sealing material for the area around the sky light on our RV. Outwardly the two products look the same, however when placing the product, I immediately could see that the thickness of the top layer of material is thinner and probably a bit more delicate than the EB. I am hopeful that over time that does not impact the longevity of the seal but only time will tell. ... show more

I thought I would try this in lieu of buying the more expensive sealant that I used in the past. This works and goes on exactly like the other and is much cheaper. There seems to be a very slight difference in the thickness in this and the other brand, but this is plenty capable of taking care of any issues. Very good thick tape, it's like it's tar like, we taped up the gap where our slide out is to prevent water during rain in our camper. Does it's job very well and it looks good, it's white the same color and does not stand out.

So far, so good. I'm using this as a form of preventive care / insurance, I guess, along the roof seams of our Class A motor home. We hadn't had any leaks, but the seam was looking weathered. So a year ago I'd first tried Gorilla Tape, then it sat in southern California for 6 months over winter. Last spring about 1,000 miles on our way back to Michigan, the Gorilla tape lost adhesion (highway speeds the likely cause) and I had to peel most of it off. So this fall I'm trying this E-SDS RV Sealant Tape, a much wider version. That's survived 1,500 miles from Michigan to southern Texas, so hopes are high. If it stays through to next winter, I'll call it an unqualified success. ... show more

3 Stars due to the backer peel off tape. Per my experience with a couple applications- The Good: - It does what it advertises. - The tape adheres very well. - It is a sticky rubber with a white top cover. The Bad: - It could have come with a roller like some other brands. - *** The clear backing tape does not peal off in a single pull most times and tears leaving some tape still on the back of the tape as it sticks down. You then have to go back and fight the tape to remove the left over backing... TRYING... not to screw up the application or have the tape stick to itself. General: - Get it right the first time. When this stuff sticks down, it is not coming back up. Conclusion: - Good - Does what is stated. - Be extremely carefull and diligent applying. - Time will determine its quality. ... show more

This is not what I was expecting when I ordered this roll to finish encapsulating a crawlspace. It is much thicker than the heat shrink wrap style that I had used previous. It is heavy duty and definitely DON'T let it swing back and touch itself once the backing is off, cus you won't get it apart. I'd trust this stuff on my rv roof to seal and prevent leaks. Especially after the sun beats down on it a day or two. It seems like basically just a wide butyl tape. ... show more

Had a small leak in my motor home. Discovered it may have been coming in from a seam where the rear cap meets the roof. Laid down two four inch lengths left to right (Driver-Passenger) side of coach. Rained hard the next day and not a drop came in the coach. Definitely recommend.
