My daughter told me to try this foundation, when I ran out of my usual cc cream. At this price pont, I figured it was worth a try, but honestly, I was quite impressed! Great medium coverage, nice glow. I used the pillow puff sponge to apply. Goes on very smooth over my moisturizer. I got the light neutral & it's a perfect match! Doesn't seem to emphasize small lines, etc. Fragrance-free. Would buy again ... show more

Easily able to apply liquid and powder products on top of it and the foundation doesn’t dry out or patch up. Lasts my whole work shift which could be 8-12 hours in food industry business! Elf have great products and this foundation is a good one. I have seen so many good reviews online raving about it, and I own the previous version that sadly elf is discontinuing. I decided to try it and I have to say I was a bit dissapointed. Don't get me wrong, it is good for every day use, it is really good, but it isn't better than the previous version, the flawless satin foundation (see picture). What I like about it is that it is very lighweight, it feels like you are not wearing anything. It blends super fast and easy. The shade range is phenomenal, you will find your match for sure and mine was perfect for my skintone. It has a beautiful satin finish that makes your skin look healthy. What I dislike is that it has less coverage than what I expected. It says medium but it is not quite there and you can't build it too much because it looks cakey. I have some acnee marks and some discoloration and I have to use a full coverage concealer underneath because they will show thru the foundation and I didn't have this issue with the previous version, that was also medium coverage, but it covered my discoloration and it was buildable. This one also looses in comparison with the previous one in packaging. The old Flawless Satin Foundation came in a frosted glass bottle with a pump which I prefer to this plastic tube. In conclusion, this is a good product at an excellent price point and I believe a lot of people will like it. I will definitely use it but I don't think I will buy it again for the reasons mentioned above. There are other foundations I like more at a comparable price and I will continue to buy the old formula as long as it is available. ... show more

You can use very little for a more natural look or go a little heavier and your skin still looks nice and fresh. I don't typically wear foundation so I honestly went out on a limb getting this but I do love e.l.f. for their cruelty free vegan products and their stuff has never irritated my skin. I'm just not sure how I feel about the foundation, possibly because I haven't worn any in years but you know. Anyway, it was super easy to apply, like I said I used a makeup brush instead of a sponge. It doesn't feel like it clogs my pores but I'm not sure I'd say it's moisturizing. It's a decent sized bottle with no fragrance to me. It would be good for any occasion so very versatile. And I do think i guessed right this time with my skin color because it does look pretty natural and not splotchy. Again, I'm just not used to fountain but it is among the ones I'll try again with. ... show more

At 46, I have found my face covered in scars from mosquito bites, injuries etc. and I was using Il Makiage for a while at 46$/bottle and it was great, but it was 46$ a bottle I could no longer afford this luxury. After hunting around and review reading I decided to give this 9$/bottle alternative a try and I was completely blown away. The texture is so light, it goes on easily and offers buildable coverage but I have found one application to be more than enough and it stays put. I dare say this is BETTER than the Il Makiage at a fraction of the cost!!!! It works great with a sponge, but I find using a foundation brush allows for easier application and more control over product placement as opposed to the sponges which I find to be more work.
