I have naturally long lashes and while some people may think that means any mascara looks good, that’s very much not the case. I can’t use “lengthening” ones because they make my lashes look like skinny spider legs, some volumizing ones sit weird and become chunky and it’s overall a hassle to deal with. I have tried so many mascaras it’s ridiculous. I originally received the regular version of this as a sample and the wand was so perfect and my lashes looked so good I started dipping the wand in other formulas. I saw they came out with the waterproof version and WOW. Perfect wand, formula is so smooth and even buildable if needed without making my lashes look bad, it stays on all day with NO flaking and it’s easy to remove at the end of the day. I had used this brand before and liked it. Then a friend talked me into trying a very expensive brand that she felt was way better than any other she had tried. I tried hers, which was good, but which honestly was not a bit better than this brand. This is not expensive, and does just as well!

The mascara is not bad. Without mascara you can barely see my eyelashes. The second photo shows 1 coat, the third photo shows 2 coats and the fourth photo shows 3 coats. The first coat is pretty liquidy and smears easily. The second coat is good. The third coat clumped. It did not flake while wearing it, but when I tried to wash it off, it mainly flaked off. As I’m applying it and grab a tissue and swab to gently blot it . The mascara is already up on my lids and outside corner of my eyes . And doesn’t wipe off easily. So I’m stuck using makeup remover just to clean it up. I bought the waterproof elf mascara too. Other brand waterproof barely budges once applied on lashes. Every week I keep using it hoping for better results. And today twice it badly went on too thick on one lash so they looked totally uneven . I wear no makeup just like a hint of mascara . It goes on ok. I got black if I'm not mistaken.. it's waterproof but the next day , if you don't take it off at night it seems to crumble .. I'm bad n do not take off my mascara .. so I had a lot of crumbling on face n night shirt n pillowcase. Sorry but I don't think I'd buy it again.

I have tried many expensive waterproof mascaras and they all smudge, clump and are difficult to remove. This one was mention in a review as being a better choice than the expensive one they had bought that I was looking at to buy so I thought I would try it. And I love it! This was not waterproof. I wore this to a water park. But I never went underwater. I floated around the lazy river and went in the wave pool so water got splashed in my face but I wasn't swimming or doing the slides and getting a ton of water. My friend had to tell me a few times I had mascara under my eye. It turned out it was more flaking off than smearing. She was wearing the elf Lash n Roll which isn't waterproof and it didn't budge. So next time I go that's what I'll wear. It's my favorite elf mascara is anyway. So this one's retired for us ... show more

I love this mascara! It’s a little thick in the beginning..but it makes your lashes look amazing. I have thin lashes and this makes me look like I have a ton now. Will be buying again.
