    • Waterproof Is Like Tar!

I am not one to write negative reviews and I have so far loved Elf products so I hate to do this but for those wanting a waterproof mascara, this is not the best option. When I first applied it I was in love, went on smooth and held so well throughout the day. However, when I went to wash it off, it smeared terribly and once it is on the skin, it is very hard to get off. I have worn waterproof mascaras for at least 35 years and never had one like this. I will be trying the washable next as it seems many are happy with it and I have loved their eye liner, concealer, and even though I rarely wear foundation, I am very pleased with what I have from Elf so I do recommend their products, just not this one. UPDATE: I did get the regular washable mascara in the copper tube and it is far better than the waterproof. It goes on great, holds well, all day, no need for waterproof! Plus wash off is a breeze, no tarry gunk stuck to my skin. I am quite pleased so I will be ordering more to keep on hand! ... show more

I love this mascara. I was having a hard time with mascara that would not irritate my eyes. This one does not even feel like I have mascara on. No watery itchy eyes. I tried several different brands for non-irritating mascara and this is the best. It is thick yet not clumpy and goes on really smooth. The dark brown is more of a brown brown, but I like it as it’s very natural. If you are looking for something a bit more dramatic go for the black. ... show more
