This brush is the same as Too Faced B.T.S. mascara. The formula is just a bit on the thin, dry side but has real lasting power. I've actually had to edit my review because I complained of crumbling, but that has only happened with a primer. It doesn't smudge, but if used with primer, this mascara does crumble off the lashes & leaves little flakes around the eyes by the end of the day. I love mascara and have tried it all; this is mid-grade (but higher for the typical waterproof mascara - be warned it does NOT want to wash off). This would be great for swimming. This is clumpy so had to learn to work with it. Also, stays on like it's clinging for dear life, so I started using only one coat rather than two, it's harder to get off than my other two waterproof brands I use. Big fan of ELF products but not their mascaras. I liked the big brush and the mascara applied well BUT it smudged and flaked very easily (I have combination to dry skin) and left me with lovely raccoon eyes. Had to throw it in the garbage it was so bad.

This mascara is very weird from start to finish…it is very awkward to use because the brush is so bulky and weird shaped…can’t get into corner lashes. It’s very difficult to get this mascara to cling to the lashes and when it finally does it’s very clumpy and needs to be combed out with a fine lash comb. It smudges very easily from lashes just touching the skin. In my photo you can see what a normal mascara brush looks like compared to the Elf mascara…way too bulky. I will be returning this mascara and will never order it again. Very disappointed. ... show more
