Awesome stuff - doesn't irritate my very sensitive eyes or skin, stays on well without smudging (oily skin here, too) for most of the day, goes on clean without clumping but I can layer up for a heavier look. I've even worn it all day and then slept in it and it looked fine the next morning, just a smidge (like 2 specks) of flaking that was easy to clean up. I like that it washes off with my daily face cleanser, too - that tends to be why I avoid waterproof mascaras as eye makeup remover can irritate my eyes and skin. The wand bristles are very large but once you get used to it I find it's actually quite good for handling longer lashes. Overall love this, probably my favorite mascara ever, and I have tried a great many of them over the decades. Definitely will purchase again!

I am currently on the lookout for products that are budget-friendly & cruelty free. I have to say that for the price point this is a pretty good mascara. I will admit that naturally I have long, dark eyelashes and I go for volume more than length when choosing mascara. This product worked well for me. First, I have extremely sensitive eyes so wearing most makeup is near impossible for me. This mascara does not irritate my eyes at all. Second, it gives decent volume, more so than length, which is fine for me as I wear glasses. It may take two coats to get the desired results but that in my view is not a make it or break it kind of thing as in my experience that is the case for most mascaras. Finally, this item removes very easily with Neutrogena makeup wipes. In fact, out of all the mascaras I have tried, this one removes the most easily. This is my first ELF purchase and I do not think it will be my last. Well done ELF!

I had heard the hype and believed - like always - that this mascara would give me the look of va-va-voom eyelashes. I only ever use mascara on my top lashes and have short eyelashes are blonde on the ends so they look even shorter than they are when I'm not wearing mascara. I think that if you have medium to long natural lashes, this may be a winner for you. It's got an hourglass shaped natural brush that is a bit harder for me to use on my stumpy lashes so I end up with mascara on my upper lid. The mascara has not flaked on me which is a big plus as I have sensitive eyes. It isn't clumpy either. I'm not sure why it was clumpy for other reviewers. Sometimes I think there's an issue with batches or quality control on the seal. Big thanks to Amazon for immediately replacing my first order of this mascara - which arrived crushed. I wasn't even required to return the broken tube & manufacturer packaging. I was able to just chuck it in the trash.

I had high hopes for this mascara but I'm still on the fence. It does in fact give volume and is noticeable but it does smudge a bit if wet. I've had other waterproof mascaras that never budged at all. It also feels somewhat 'crumbly' on my lashes after wearing throughout the day. I don't think I would repurchase.

The mascara itself is good, buildable and definitely makes my lashes more voluminous. Easy to remove and doesn’t flake which I really like. I personally don’t like the thicker brush as it’s harder for me to use but that’s just a personal preference and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Good value for the price.
