  • AMAZING fun little plane, maybe not for beginners
I LOVE this plane, it’s small, has great maneuverability, looks beautiful, and is very powerful for its size (around 70mph), some things like high alphas are difficult but scale maneuvers and beyond scale maneuvers are a breeze and the plane looks excellent while doing so. **BUT THIS IS NOT A FIRST PLANE** First of all this listing of this plane is BNF Basic (Bind And Fly) which means you still need a battery, charger, and transmitter, which is pricey. Secondly this plane is not easy to land, its stall characteristics are pretty brutal at times and without a decent sized runways slowing down enough without stalling can be difficult, and if you try and hand launch it without a second person sometime a wingtip will stall and dip that side into the ground pretty nastily and without both hands it’s can be almost impossible to recover from. Also if you do get into a crash it will likely be pretty nasty because this plane is not very durable. The nose is quite weak but most of the time it’s nothing a little glue and tape can’t fix. The big one though is the steerable nose wheel likes to come loose of the foam and break and that is a pain to fix (some hot glue in the hole should fix it). Lastly if you do pick up this wonderful warbird get the Asurion protection plan that is offered with it because no matter now experienced of a pilot you are, if you are flying this plane regularly you will probably crash it (or have a rough landing) and having the peace of mind that it reallly doesn't matter if you crash it is great. ... show more

  • CG
The CG is nose heavy with the Spektrum 850mah battery all the way back and when I picked it up up from the tail section off my CG stand it broke it off, I was not a happy camper, This may just be a wall hanger. I have never flown this plane, Money wasted on A POS of a great looking airplane.

  • Fragile But Flies Great
It’s actually a very easy jet to fly if you have basic skills. Flew it about four or five times. On the last flight I made a pilot error very close to the ground and it truly did break into a million pieces. There is no room for error on this little guy. As long as you don’t make a mistake, great plane just not durable anyone who claims this is trash doesn’t know how to fly a micro edf ... show more

  • Wow!
Durable? No. Easy to set up? No. Happy? Pissed! 4th airplane decided to “step up” to e-flight airplanes. Transmitter setup? Talk about a real pain in the a$$ all the directions from every manual says “refer” to this manual and back and forth. Website useless. The thunderbolt looks amazing but it can’t even take a drip from 2ft! After spending a couple of evenings wasting my time to ensure it was set up properly (still not even sure) I was checking the CG center of gravity, plane slid off my finders and fell literally 1-2 ft and snapped in half. I wonder what it’s like to land this guy lol.. I can’t believe it. E-flite is not right for me. Good luck if your a newbie to the brand. Terrible experience. ... show more

  • A great flying ducted fan.
This is a relatively easy ducted fan to fly. Yes it is fast so it isn't for novice flyers but for sure intermediate or above flyers will find it easy to handle. To land it properly you need to be a throttle jockey as you have to constantly run the throttles to control landing approach and attitude. However, throttle control on landing is a skill anyone needs to handle higher performance models and especially ducted fans. I usually build everything from scratch but this little ARF is a blast. considering buying the larger Eflite A-10 based on the handling properties of this A-10. ... show more

  • Good first edf.
This plane flies really well. Its got tons of power on 3s Safe mode us great for edf newbies. But this is not a good first plane. Its a great entry into edf once your an established low wing pilot.

  • A-10 “refurbished” Came severely used.
This item boasted of being “refurbished” but came damaged. The left horizontal stabilizer was cracked at the fuselage, the canopy, rear hold-down protrusion was also cracked, the airframe canopy hole aft area showed signs of distress (as if someone tried to pry the canopy off with a tool from the wrong side), and the airframe in general shows signs of wear. I would say that the overall condition is severely “used”. So far, we haven’t tested the electronics for operation but hope for the best. (Previous owner left a gift (extra 2s battery inside) not related to the operation of this specific aircraft). Will update upon operation. ... show more

  • EXTREMELY fragile, but amazing when it flies.
I mean, look at the thing? Does that spindly airframe look strong? How did I not see that before hand? This thing will crumple to bits on every landing. Granted, it's still powerful enough to fly even with the massive amount of ducktape you have to use to keep this thing together after a slightly off touchdown. But ducktape fixes all, and she does fly like a beauty, even with the extra weight! Oh, and yah, don't try an 850mAh 3s without adding lead balast to the rear. The CG REALLY needs to be where they say it should be, and that's not in spec even with a 850mAh 3s pushed aaaaall the way back in it's little space. Go for a smaller battery or have lead tape prepared to counter balance. ... show more
