  • Nice power to weight
I really like this jet. I haver the larger 80mm version as well and I prefer this one. The larger one looks cooler and is more scale but feels heavy in the air, it can be stressful to fly. This one rocks! It takes off quick, lands easy, and flies on rails. I do wish the vertical and horizontal stabilizers were screw on instead of glue on, but thats more of a prefrence thing. Overall its a great plane, its a shame horizon is discontinuing it. ... show more

  • Landing gear is a little inadequate
Great plane and fun to fly! I read the landing gear does not hold up very well before I purchased the plane so I had expectations of performing repairs post flight. I have been an RC hobbyist for several years so I understand building/repairing or modifying is 80% of the hobby. This goes for planes or cars (especially nitro/gas powered). Battery technology and RTR/BNF has allowed non-hobbyist entry and therefore everyone needs to understand what they are getting into prior to purchase. On my maiden flight, with a 3300mah battery, the front retract strut pin slightly bent back on landing. Changed battery and second flight ended with same results. Checked retract and everything closed okay so I flew a third time with a 4000mah battery. Extra weight of the battery and a slightly harder landing due to wind was enough to bend all retract strut pins to a point where the wheels will no long retract properly. This is no big deal since the strut pins are about $5 - $10 per set of three. Just pre-buy some spare pins when you purchase the plane. E-Flite Retract Strut Pin Part number 7822. Also, don't get discouraged. Foam planes are extremely easy to repair. Even catastrophic wrecks can simply be glued together. Watch a few YouTube videos, exhibit a little patience, and enjoy the time spent repairing. Far better way to spend time in your evening or weekend then focusing on the news or watching the garbage on TV. After a few hard or missed landings and a few repairs you'll be seeking other planes to add to your collection. Enjoy and happy RCing! ... show more

  • Great flyer and easy to assemble
I fly EDFs and this plane flies great, is easy to assemble and is relaxing compared to bigger planes. The recommended 6S 3300 mAh pack balanced best. The 4000 seemed to be too nose heavy without room to push back but that’s up to pilot. Can fly off reasonably manicured grass. The pitot tube in nose is a rubbery material so it won’t break off if you bang it accidentally. ... show more

  • F-16 Thunderbird
Product was received on time in good condition. Went together very easy and quickly. This is my 2nd edf, I have not flown it yet waiting on good weather with light winds. I would not recommend this for a beginner. Finally got some good weather, the maiden flight went off without a hitch, after some trimming the plane flew very well, landing was easy as it glides very well, better that I expected. Just watch your speed on taxi as it will tip onto the wings very easy. Also crosswind takeoffs can be challenging, I ended up breaking a nose gear servo attempting it, but amazon got me a new one quickly. ... show more

  • Easy to fly as a beginner jet. Still need some experience for even this jet though
The set up is super simple, if you have a spektrum transmitter. Everything is already programmed and ready to go. This was my first jet and I never even used the safe switch and really you don’t have to. It required barely any trimming and flew very easily. The look is the best part though. Every turn and bank makes it look just like the real thing. The speed is substantial as well. You can go vertical for a little while, not forever but enough to have fun. Landing was easy enough because the plane is very stable, but there are no flaps so you have to land at high speeds on a decently long runway because it doesn’t slow down very fast. ... show more

  • Great edf
I love this edf jet. The performance is great and easy to set up. It took around 30 minutes to build and set up radio. Safe select is a plus for beginners but I would not recommend for a first plane. Great performance and great high alphas with this jet. The look of the thunderbirds is amazing.

  • By the real flight simulator before flying the jet
I’m doing the simulator to learn how to fly so I don’t mess my Jet up very nice

  • Great Flying F16
This is a great edf to add. This plane flies great. Super fast 100 plus mph and yet slows down great for landings. I was not a big fan of the white thunder bird look. So I repainted mine.
