I purchased this item knowing it was an open box (Open Cart) product, but the grill was heavily discounted so I took a chance. Dyna-Glo always rates well with their grill products and looks are not as important to me as the function and features, so I bought it. As the pictures show, there was a dent on the Grill hood cover and the front plate is warped and bulges. It was obviously mishandled during prior shipping and the knob cover plate was actually bent almost 90 degrees when I received it. I reshaped it best I could and it's worth noting it did not impair the installation at all. The grill was missing the handle, there were no other missing parts. I was able to get a new handle shipped to me in 3 days after calling Dyna-Glo. Kudos for great customer service. Instructions are stellar - Very clear. No issues installing the grill components. Connected a propane tank and there were no leaks and it heats up extremely fast compared to my CharBroil grill I am replacing. If it wasn't for the fact this was known open box item with defects, I would give this grill 5 stars. ... show more

It cooks good. Decent quality materials with the exception of the drip pan which fell off after just 5 months of light use, the rivets just didn't hold up. Hubby was able use screws to affix the pan to the tray. Customer service reply simply said "Call to place an order", so apparently I can order a replacement, which is an option if the tray completely rusts out ... show more

We moved in to a new place and since I tossed both my charcoal and propane grill before we moved into our LAST apartment I needed a new one. I was going to get one at Walmart, I DID actually. I paid and then went to load it into my cart and they told me I could not. They said I needed to wait for someone, and it would be 10-15 minutes before an employee was free to help. Look, I get it, safety and such. But when a customer is willing to risk getting hurt, thats not on you. I wanted to load my grill and take my toddler home. So when they said I could not, I told them to return it. I got my money back and walked out with my kid. When I got home I looked on Amazon for a grill and found a few that looked good. I settled on this one, and I'm very glad I did. It is very easy to put together, and extremely sturdy. I have never once used a side burner on a grill but I imagine for those that do, its a convenient thing to have. It works great, and the grill plates feel very heavy duty. I purchased the cover for it to protect it from the weather here in upstate NY. I am very pleased with this grill and hope that with proper care it will last me a good number of years. ... show more

We were looking for a new grill and I am so happy we decided on this one. I was weary about risking $230 on a grill chance. We wanted to upgrade to a 4 burner but the competition was in the ~$350 range for anything reasonable. It's one thing to buy a cheap grill it's another thing to buy an expensive cheap grill, if that makes sense. But after taking a look at the BTUs and BTU/inch (104), other reviews, and over all design we decided to take a chance. I felt the other grills were simply too expensive for what they offered. The grill comes in one huge box (90lbs) good sign, heavy box, heavy construction. But with a heavy box comes shipping issues. The packing of the grill in the box was done very well and each part grouped or labeled. Comparing the parts to the ship list it matched exactly down to the screws. In the spirit of transparency there was a small amount of damage to the right side grill wall as seen in the last picture. The wall does not interfere with the open/closing of the lid or anything. Seems it got scratched by some other part during transport but never figured it out. Assembly was easy, there were no issues at all. I did use a small power drill to help with the screws and did use loctite on all the bolts because it will get a lot of use. The instructions were clear and concise. The grill was manufactured well and there were no issues with alignment of holes or fasteners. As shown in the one photo. (The camera is angled and not straight on to make it easier to show) I can't speak for the 1 star ratings and based on my experience either Dyna-Glo improved the manufacturing process since then or they had some weird anomaly. Because based on my experience this grill is awesome and I am trilled with how it looks and how it cooks. Can't wait for the first BBQ of summer! ... show more
