    • Finally something that works
Just started practicing in a room with wood flooring. No other devices were able to stay put. This one has saved my practice setup. My only complaint is the hole should be deeper so the endpin doesnt pop out so easily. It fits my endpin even with the rubber cap on it, but the hole of the item is shallow. ... show more

The hole is too small and you have to remove the endpin rubber in order to have the cello rest on it. The material is not sticky enough at the bottom and slips when playing. I thought the overprice and made in England meant high quality product, but unfortunately, it's not. I have used this stop in many places - it always works, doesn't let go in middle of concert. When dirty, just wash with soap and water. Would never replace except keep forgetting it at end... Just the thing if playing on a hard floor.

    • Sticks Until It Doesn't
The Black Hole is one of the best Rock Stops on the market. Out of the box, it is unbeatable for stickiness. The material is tacky and is design to form a sort of suction seal against the floor. If you keep it clean it can last years with good tackiness. After that, you have to get it wet or it just fails entirely. I think ultimately, I prefer to use a rock stop that attaches to the chair, as either a mat or a cable. But those are big and clumsy, where this can easily fit in your case or your pocket. Keep one of these in your case at all times, and try to bring another one that uses a rope or something to the chair as well. ... show more
