  • Fits perfectly!!
I just got done installing this in my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 liter Quadradrive. I had no issues other than the dumb engineering design of Chrysler. It went as expected. It fits but you have to fight it a little to get it in without harm to the radiator itself. I definitely recommend this, and I also recommend buying the radiator transmission cooling lines. Mine were rust welded and the lines twisted and kinked and my local parts places didn't have the same lines that came off and the ones that they did have were outrageously expensive but Amazon has them and the right ones at a fraction of the cost from the automotive parts store. So if you're replacing the radiator with this one, it fits. Will update when I get some mileage on. ... show more

  • Working great
So it's been quite a few months since I bought this radiator. It was a good bang for the buck deal and perfect fit. I do a lot of offroading and this radiator has been keeping up with the abuse. I'd definitely refer, and already have, this part to others

  • Working well in my 2004 Grand Cherokee WJ!
Fit my 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo WJ. Not the easiest installation (Jeep could have made it easier) so I'm hoping it holds up for a while. It's not complex, just painful at times. I replaced one in a Cherokee XJ and it was much easier than the WJ's. I went with this radiator brand/model because the Mopar was going to take weeks to deliver and I wanted one with the tube connection on the petcock to drain antifreeze directly into a bottle/bucket. Other brands do not have the tube connection so that narrowed the choices down quite a bit. For the install I removed the front grill, air box, upper radiator hose, electric fan, lower radiator hose, hood latch, flat metal support brace (that goes across the whole front), and the bolts that hold the A/C compressor to the radiator. I also loosened the 2 hood latch vertical supports and swiveled them to the side, as every 1/16th of an inch you can buy for this install will make a difference. Then it took me a good 30 minutes to wiggle the old radiator out and another 30 minutes to wiggle the replacement back in. Once dropped in you just have to get the bottom mounting pegs lined up and the A/C compressor mounts slid back into the brackets on the radiator. You'll need several pieces from the old radiator so don't throw it away until after the install is complete. Both the radiator mounting bushing/hardware and the screw clips to re-mount the fan and compressor will be needed. The screw clips are held in by a little clip that on the side without the screw terminal. I pushed a little piece of really flat metal up into each clip and they popped right off (20 minutes for the 1st one to figure it out and 10 seconds for the rest of them). Then you'll also need the rubber bushings for the bottom radiator pegs if they pulled out with the old radiator. I did not have automatic transmission lines running to my radiator so I ignored those connections for my install. Tools I would recommend are hose clamp pliers for the upper and lower radiator hose clamps and a 10mm flex head wrench for the electric fan mounting screws (must have). Take the air box out and it's a lot easier to get at the bottom fan screw on that side. If you are doing this install I would guess you already have a torx head set but if you don't you'll want one of those too. I also used anti-seize on several bolts during reinstallation just in case I ever need to get back in. The air box bolts were, by far, the worst for me during this project. So far all is well after 2 weeks. The radiator seems well made and temperature holds right where it should, if not a bit lower. I stuck with the Jeep recommended 5 year/100,000 mile Mopar antifreeze. End to end time for me was 10 house over the course of several days. I'm sure I saved a good $400-$500 doing the work myself, if not more. ... show more

  • Transmission cooler leaking antifreeze
Had everything all plumbed in and installed only to have the trans cooler lines leaking antifreeze, had i started the vehicle the radiator would have contaminated my transmission fluid and probably caused a transmission failure Asked for a replacement, Amazon says it’ll be here in 6 days so looks like I’m riding my dirtbike into work on Monday and Tuesday until the replacement shows up, I’ll be pressure checking everything on the new one before installing because i wasted about 3 hours of my morning for nothing and could have left the old one in since it only leaked when i shut the vehicle off and coolant stopped circulating around the block If the new one works with no issues I’ll update but I’m honestly not happy with this at this point in time I also recommend purchasing new trans cooler lines my old ones were seized onto the old fitting’s 2003 WJ 4.0 Laredo Selec-Trac 242, 42RE 250,000 miles ... show more
