After years of dealing with hand-me-down socket sets, which often required digging around to find needed items, and after picking up the case one day only to have the latches fail and sockets shower onto the driveway and roll into the street, I decided it was time for a new, organized set. After reading reviews, DuraTech seems to be a cut above in the bargain tool lines available at Amazon, so ordered the 138-piece mechanics tool set which comes in a hard case. It's certainly quite heavy, and my initial impression is the tools are of a quality that will definitely meet my needs. The sockets snap on very securely, and having such a variety of drive/socket sizes should serve me well with my projects. All the tools seem to snap into the hard case very securely, and so far upon opening nothing has tumbled out, and the latches have arrows to make sure the case is opened the right way up. Also includes a screwdriver handle with 10 bits so don't have to constantly fetch a screwdriver if quickly needed, as well as spark plug sockets, and two Allen wrench sets.

I have tons of tools from cheaper (craftsman) to overpriced ( Mac and Snap-on). I would never compare these to the more expensive brands but compared to everything else, I think these are very high quality pieces. I bought this as a spare kit to carry in my truck because I need easy access to them. The kit has almost everything you need. I bought an additional set of 1/2" deep sockets for the wheels on my truck and trailer. The ratchets are very nice, good grips, and have good step gears. The sockets are good quality as well. Only thing i would knock is that the numbering is not easy to view. The kit has everything I need to do any and almost emergency and normal work on my cars and truck. The case is super nice as well.

The sockets and socket wrenches are excellent quality for this price point. All this home mechanic needs, that's for sure. Everything is well laid out and secure in the tool case. Kit is complete and pretty comprehensive.

I'm very delighted with the product received. I needed to use some of the sockets in repairing my riding lawn mower. They arrived as promised by amazon and provided me with ability to accomplish my repairs quickly. I feel the quality is excellent and the case provided me with all the necessary sockets and wrenches to complete my task. I would have liked a few more wrenches but I'm sure they provide those in the larger cases. I'm very pleased with the sockets and wrenches and would buy again from seller.
