I got this hammock and the Kootek at the same time. They were both on sale, and roughly the same price. They are both singles. This hammock has a smaller bag and much shorter tree straps. This will make it easier to carry if backpacking, but less practical to put up, as one never knows the size of the trees on will encounter. For my camping hammock I normally carry a different kind of straps that are lighter anyway. I like the color on this one better (royal blue and turquoise vs sky blue and gray.) The carabiners are very similar, but this seems like it might be a bit thicker. The attachments to the carabiners on this one are made of tree straps, the other thick nylon cord. Other than that, one would assume they were made by the same company. The fabric on both seems a little thin and the sewing is comparable. Neither seems as sturdy as the Latticure Outfitters hammock I have hanging in my yard. I hope they will hold up under the weight of my 200 plus pound son. I think both of these would be suitable as camping hammocks. I like the bigger storage bag on the Kootek better, as it is easy to stuff everything back in. Overall, with the longer straps and bigger bag the Kootek gives the impression of being higher quality, although I am not sure it actually is. You can't beat the price on these, and for nine or ten dollars these are very nice. I really recommend these little parachute fabric hammocks for camping or home.

I just Love these hammocks!! They last about 2 years out on my deck, overlooking the marsh, I leave it out in the weather daily. I take it with me camping and often you can find me sleeping in it. Love the durability.

This was exactly what I expected--a nice, lightweight hammock that folds into its own stuff sack. What I especially liked about it, after having one that was all one color, was the design of the two light blue panels on the outer edges. When sitting down into it, one needs to be sure one is seated in the middle: having the different colors makes it easier to know if the butt is centered on the middle, dark blue panel. No more overshooting the center and flipping onto the ground when committing one's weight.
