I don't normally go for kits like this since most things can be accomplished with just folded paper, so this sort of kit seems a bit gimmicky and wasteful. BUT I have a large quantity of relatively (for me) ornate door and window frames that need sanding by hand. The convenience and completeness of this kit has been a boon on my home reno project. The handle and secure hold to the various shapes and papers makes things much more comfortable and less frustrating that attempting all of this without the kit. Would recommend for anyone enduring a significant amount of by-hand sanding.

These are the best for hand sanding. They are my go to when sanding. I have used them so much I have run out of sandpaper. They have held up overtime. Nice price point

These work really well except for: 1. The sanding paper needs to be 'softened' by rolling in your hands before it it will conform tightly to any of the curved surfaces. It'll work ok w/out doing that, but you might be sanding surfaces you don't want to, as on chair rungs. Roll it around a pencil or punch to 'break' it in some before attaching and it works better from the start. 2. The paper size is odd, and the handles are a bit too long for close or small area work (as w/ angled stool rungs, for example). See images: Standard 1/4 sheet paper is too small in both dimensions, and cut in half, it doesn't fit properly. And the stuff they sell for these is not useful for much else (and they cost more). SO: I bought 1/4 sheet pads, cut them in half, then hacksawed about 1/4 inch off the holders (as shown). This solved the problem and gave me a lot more paper for less price--and I can get into smaller curved spaces w/ the pads. I also found a use for one of the cut-off end-pieces with a small piece of paper, in a really small space that needed sanding. Win-win with minimal reengineering...

Pretty handy. I used these to sand down an exterior wood door to prep for staining. the velcro is tough and there are a variety of grits of the same size abrasive rolls by Dura gold that are ready to tear off and fit perfectly.
