This is a paint kit it it only take what is there and makes it look like carbonfiber. It is great for rc cars and small projects. Still not a bad buy

    • Works best and should only be used for flat surfaces.
The kit is fine and the paint looks good. The issue is when you are trying to paint anything with any type of angle. For flat surfaces, I can see this would work amazingly. But if you have anything even remotely with any type of curve or bends, kind of forget it. It’s not going to come out as well as you would like. Having said that though, I fee the paint is high quality. I just wish the pattern came out better. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Look good … the spray part of this kit is easy to use … but then it come to use the pattern mat if you’re using it on something with lots of shape is not the easiest thing to use … I’m sure if is done on a flat surface is not hard but I still think is good product specially for the price … I do recommend to follow the instructions and take your time and clear coat will enhance the look as you can see in the pictures … I placed it next to some real carbon fiber pieces I have and it look pretty close I used duplicolor 1k clear extreme gloss finish and I have to say is easy to apply and is almost as good as 2k clear coat and 1/3 of the price and when applied right you get a glass finish ... show more

I bought a new hood center vent for my BMW. I wanted it in carbon fiber to match other parts but it was unreasonably expensive. So I bought this kit hoping it'd look "decent". I followed the instructions and holly cow, it came out beautiful and exceeded my expectations 10 fold. It looks very much like carbon fiber but I wasn't expecting it to be identical. The main point is, it looks soooo good I am ecstatic. When I showed it to the body shop installing the spoilers and side skirts they were beyond impressed! They told me I should leave the mortgage business and paint parts for a living! I bought an automotive clear coat which really helped the final finish and I recommend this also. It not only made it look more like carbon fiber but contains UV block to prolong it's use. ... show more

Didn't perform well the mat was all folded in the box and impossible to get it sprayed correctly with all the folds in the plastic mat but they did make a refund.
