This seems like an excellent product. Sprays out nice. Flows just right, yet impossible to create drips. Easy to water sand and polishes up nice. I can't comment on durability. We'll have to wait a few years for that. But, if you're doing a spot job, or an overall (which is what I was spraying) check this product out. You can pay more for others, but I'm not sure you'll get a better product. ... show more

At Lit Retros we use this clear coat for all of our custom emblems, custom painted parts, and headlight and taillight retrofits. High quality product for a great price! Don’t be scared to spray it, lay 2-3 wet coats and you will see the glass effect!! Awesome product, highly recommended!

Clear is really thin. Wanted to add micro-sequins but is wouldn't suspend the flakes long enough and the gun would plug. But overall, sprays easily, and results are great DOI is there. This is a picture just after spraying. Can't speak for durability yet.

I bought this clearcoat because I needed to clearcoat a whole car and didn't want to spend $150 + doing so. This clearcoat lays out smooth and can be applied pretty wet without running it. The price is great and I wouldn't really hesitate to but it again if I need a whole car clear coated. The only thing I was not super pleased on was when you polish it it clogs up my pad a lot faster than the other clearcoats I have used. I'm guessing its just a little softer. Overall though you can't really go too wrong for $90. Yes, this is one of the only companies that charges for shipping on Amazon. However, shipping was quick for me. I will try more of their products in the future. ... show more

I have used this 2K Clear coat on a half dozen different jobs and it never disappoints me. It doesn't seem to matter how hot or cold the temp, it mixes easy and sprays really even with great coverage! I have sprayed this with anywhere from a 1.3mm to a 1.8mm tip and had no problems that weren't my fault. It works best for me with a 1.4mm tip in a $25.00 harbor freight gun. I would highly recommend this 2K Clear it shines really good and leaves a show quality finish. All the prices on painting supplies have gotten really stupid but Speedokote sells this for about half the price as comparable products. ... show more

Its not a bad product. Sprays good, water sands nice, buffs nice. Yes I mix it properly. I bought it for Guitars. Which get things bolted in place and switches mounted. 3 Guitars painted over a 4 month period all have the same issue. Allowed to dry a week in summer weather sanded and recoated. Allowed to cure 2 weeks sanded with 1200 grit before buffing. After assembly anything that contacts paint will cause a bulge around washers or whatever tightens to the paint. Never had that problem with more expensive major brand clear. Anyone with advice speak up please! I must consider another brand for this use. ... show more

    • Good/Solid Clear Coat
I am just starting out with painting my own vehicles and this product is great. Goes on well, easy to wet sand and is tough when it cures. I would easily purchase this again when/if I run out of my gallon.
