I initially thought I made a mistake in ordering this, but I have found it very convenient. While it is lightweight, it’s also functional. The shallower depth allows me to use this as storage behind an entrance door; it’s PERFECT. I use several drawers for shoes, one for dog leashes/collars, one for reusable shopping bags - you get the idea. I would be hesitant to place anything heavy on the top of it. I didn’t expect much considering this is flat pack furniture with fabric drawers but it’s actually sturdy and feels well made. The drawers hold up and have a stiffness to them that keeps them in shape. We use this in a playroom fir toys and it’s perfect. It honestly looks pretty nice too. I got this dresser to go in my kids' closet. It's perfect. The large drawers are big enough for 5-6 sets of big kids pajamas each. I love the upper shelf. I put their hats in the big gap. It's perfect for that so their fedoras and cowboy hats don't get smashed. It's too tall being under their clothes in the closet to use the top part of the top shelf, but it's so roomy we dont really need to. The bins are those cloth folding kind on the back and sides. The front is a hard particle board with wood grain laminate. The frame is square metal tube. The wholenthing feels very sturdy and is holding up well for us. ... show more
