To start, if you’re considering buying this bed frame then you need to have a realistic expectation of what you’re buying. This is a mass produced, inexpensive bed frame which is great for teenagers or young adults. Recognizing that it’s mass produced, you have to accept that it isn’t going to be comparable to a $500 + frame. I’ve setup a few of these frames that are in the $100-$300 range and for the money this is one of the better frames I’ve come across. Annoyances: 1. Frame is a little wobbly with the box spring (this frame does not require and is more stable without it, but for now we put it on) 2. Had to return the first one because one of the components was not drilled (remember it’s mass produced so it’s bound to happen) Returning the first one and setting up the second one went without a hitch. Hints: Keep the bolts with their bag that is lettered. When setting it up, count the number of bolts you have and then look at the inventory list to make sure it is the correct one because there are two that are close to the same size, but it’s the counting of them and checking with the inventory that will make sure you have the correct piece. ... show more

Basically turned what should’ve been a simple product to set up into an overly complicated project. Honestly save your time and effort and buy a different product. This one will be going in the dumpster. Money wasted. IT DIDNT EVEN COME WITH ALL THE PARTS. Absolutely do not buy this one.

Set up time: 30 minutes seems wildly optimistic Design: Solid but complicated Functionality: No rail to hold mattress in place; how to attach a headboard? Setup time After you open the box, the first thing the instruction manual directs you to do is confirm you received 22 different types of parts totaling 133 separate items. After completing the setup, I estimate that it took me four to six hours total over the course of a week, not counting rework and time required to remove the small sticky labels attached to many parts to help you identify them. This time estimate does include watching randomly selected online videos to determine whether the flat or rounded side of each of 14 nuts should be placed against the frame. (Spoiler alert: the video I watched said the flat side of the nut should be placed against the inside of the joint leaving the rounded side showing.) The only reason I could find for having two people involved is that it would improve the odds of one person being a skilled furniture installer. Design and functionality Assembly challenges aside, the design did yield a more stable platform than I have experienced with other queen-sized bed frames. The resulting top is quite flat, with no lip, rim, or rail to hold a mattress in place. I worry about things sliding around during use. I slept on the finished bed and found it comfortable. I have a headboard I would like to attach but don’t see a way to do that yet. ... show more

I love the 14-inch height design of this metal king-size bed frame, which provides extra storage space under the bed and is very practical. The bed frame is strong and stable, with the steel sheet mattress foundation, providing a good support, and the black design also makes the bed frame look low-key and classic. The assembly process has a little trouble, they are not so easy to put together, one of the components is not drilled, the screws can not join them together. This is a very sturdy frame. It doesn’t require a boxspring. You just put the mattress on it, and you are all set! This frame comes unassembled. It takes about fifteen minutes to assemble it, and all of the hardware is included. I used it for a Twin XL without any major issues. There are a few inches hanging off the frame, but it’s nothing that would be noticeable once the bedding is on it. I recommend this frame. ... show more

    • Seriously Solid Bed Frame - Lots of Parts To Deal With

It took me a little over an hour to put this together myself and that includes the time needed to sort and inventory the parts which is definitely worth doing. Lots of parts (See pic). First thing I did was break out my tool box because I had better hex tools and better tools for dealing with nuts that would save me some time and effort. What came with the frame would work fine in a pinch. The instructions suggest putting it all together and only tightening the screws to about 80% and I found that to be good advice. Once I had it all together and started to tighten it all to 100% there wasn't that much left to do and I marveled at how strong and sturdy it was. Initially we put the box spring and mattress on but we had to remove the box springs because it was way too high. Its absolutely perfect with just the mattress. Hints: Some of the parts are labeled with the same letter but will differ by case. For example "A" and "a" are both used but "A" is for a metal bar and "a" is for a screw. I also thought a part was missing because part "f" is a screw with no ends and it had somehow gotten attached to a nut. I ignored part "f" when I was looking for it because it looked like it had a hex head on it. Even though I put it together myself there were times, early on, where I could have used another pair of hands to steady the metal posts while I screwed them in to each other. If you can't find help just grab some pillows or blankets so you can lean the bigger metal posts against the pillow/blanket and then a wall without scratching up anything.
