    • Great looking bed, with full support for mattress - no Box spring needed.
I bought this for the spare room, where my 6' tall son sleeps when he visits. I love the look of the bed, but I also love the very supportive base, which spared me having to buy a box spring, to put under the mattress I already had. That spared me a $60.+ purchase, and made the bed a more normal height (ie, no ladder needed to get into this bed - Yay!). It's a solid frame, and base, and it took a while to build, but it wasn't complicated. I used a power screwdriver, and that made pretty short work of it. (Just don't tighten everything until done, as some wiggle room helps to get things lined up, while in-process.) It looks great with the bed made up. It's not manly, but the dark color, and bars eliminates any worry that it's too girly, either. You could easily use manly, or feminine linens, to suit either gender, and I like that. (I'm hoping once lock-down is over, he may find a wife who would like it, too. : ) The review asked if it was maneuverable, and I'd say that's not super easy on carpet, if you're alone. The wildly better support of the inner base frame requires there be several legs in the middle, which a standard bed frame doesn't use. Those extra legs settled into my very plush carpet, and make it difficult to move alone - especially with the mattress on it. Hubby helps, and it's more than doable with an extra set of hands. If it were on solid flooring, I'm sure it would move easily. (Though, how often do you need to move the bed?) * It's easy to make the bed. Yay! The open bars make accessing the bottom to tuck in the linens much easier. * There were no burrs, or scratches on mine, despite the delivery guy just dumping the box at the end of the driveway. * It's heavy, so we had to get a dolly to drag it up into the garage, then take the pieces upstairs, a few at a time. I love it, and would highly recommend it, if you like the looks. ... show more

Ordered this bed frame to use in our guest room and I'm very pleased with the product for the price point. The package arrived quickly, assembly was straightforward, and it looks nice. The only minor issue was one piece of the bed frame arrived bent and unfortunately I didn't realize until the bed was nearly built. I’d recommend 2 people for install. I used the manual and the video when putting it together. I honestly would NOT recommend using a memory foam mattress on this unless it’s really firm. Mine was too soft and sagged through the slats. The metal is sturdy, no warping under the mattress like I’ve seen others report. There was a good amount of rust flakes when I pulled the end pieces off of the head & foot board so be prepared for that. I did have ONE hole that was stripped at the headboard and I couldn’t tighten the screw properly. I could probably get a larger screw and use a drill. The little pieces they have in the corners to keep the mattress from sliding do not work, my mattress still slides. Overall it’s a good purchase. I would recommend. ... show more

Super sturdy and not at all squeaky like I worried about. I’m honestly so impressed by this buy. It’s perfect. Fits my mattress snuggly and keeps it in place. Took me about an hour and a half by myself to set up. Wasn’t the best experience setting up because there were so many pieces but in the end it’s a much sturdier piece of furniture so I’m more than willing to go through that experience again. The instructions were super simple and they sent extra hardware jus ton case. No scratches and good packaging. Great price for something so nice. Definitely recommend ... show more

My son and I put this together fairly quickly, less than an hour. It seems solid and doesn’t make a lot of noise, which was my concern with a metal bed. I have this bed in a guest room and it’s gotten a fair amount of use with no complaints. I’ve got a traditional 12” mattress on it (from Costco) without a box spring or bunkie board and it seems to be just fine. I was worried about putting the mattress directly on the frame here, but it seems to have plenty of support. We put it into use in June of 2022 and very happy so far.     • Good bed, might not last forever
This is a fairly sturdy, solid bed. Took ~45 minutes for two people to put together, instructions were confusing at one part but overall really easy to follow and no special tools necessary Came with extra screws which was nice. My main complaint is it arrived damaged - one or two small spot where the paint either didn't cover the frame well enough or was coming off so looked 'rusted' in that spot. Also, one of the ball things on one slat had come detached and was sliding up and down. We glued it back in place instead of returning it, because returning would have been a huge hassle, and now you could never tell. So it's fine it's just annoying to have something show up already a bit damaged looking, and possibly indicative that this might not be a 'forever' item. ... show more

This bed is perfect and our son loves it! Not too bad to assemble about 40 min all the parts are marked and they send extra nuts and bolts. Small pads keep the metal from squeeking. Feels strurdy for lightweight metal. Highly recommend

This bedframe looks great assembled and is very sturdy. I really like this style as it does not require a box spring and does not have the wooden planks that lie across horizontally that may move or break over time. The package itself is moderately heavy and was somewhat difficult to move up the stairs without help. There are several individual pieces to assemble but the instructions are pretty straightforward and not too frustrating. It look about 1.5 hours for me to assemble by myself.
