This storage rack is great but it was a headache considering the manual only had a pictured diagram, didn’t really have any guided instructions. I pretty much had to guess. Since this ultimately ended up being great after figuring out the problem with the help of a Home Depot associate, i would still very much recommend it. Other buyers just need to know that one small issue and then they are totally set! I thought the problem was with the LOCK NUTS at first. I contacted the seller because there long bolts were not going through the hole of the lock nut and they couldn’t help other than replace it. It was also hard for me to explain it really. I found out for myself (with a home depot rep when I took one of the nuts to a store), that it was the WRENCH included in the kit that was the problem. The wrench simply was not strong enough to allow the length of the bolt screws to go all the way through because there is a plastic rim on the inside that you need to use lots of strength to push it out. You literally need to put so much force that the plastic rim will break out of the Locknut I give 2 stars for installation guide, but overall a 4 stars because once this problem was figured out, it ended up being the most sturdiest and best multi functional weight storage rack that will last for many years. I wish someone else would have pointed this out in the reviews or at least should be noted on the listing. Key thing here is to ditch the wrench and use a strong heavy duty tool (adjustable wrench is best) of your own.

You need a socket set for this. I tried putting it together with the Allen wrench and the flat socket abomination included but unless you've already strengthened your fingers to Alex Honnold level, you aren't getting anywhere. I couldn't figure out why the nuts wouldn't twist anymore until my man told me that these are special nylon nuts that lock tight. He came over to rescue me and the rattling, loose-nutted non-starter I'd put together and proceeded to use his socket set to crank all the nuts in place in 20 minutes. Well, nuts.

This is ideal for a modest home gym; it is a really solid dumbbell rack that arrived swiftly and was simple to assemble. I frequently use this dumbbell rack, but it can carry a wide range of weights. It's strong, doesn't sway, and has a large weight capacity. This rack was simple to assemble; it took me 30 minutes from unpacking to completely mounted. I recommend sorting them before assembling them. It would have taken me less time, but I tightened everything by hand first, then with a socket wrench. This rack has exceeded my expectations. The power coating is excellent; there are no sharp welds or edges. The rack is quite solid and powerful, and it is extremely simple to assemble. The complete exercise equipment storage rack is composed of commercial-grade steel, has a high load-bearing capacity, is always stable, and will not be swayed by storing too much equipment.
